We agree there. Ron Rivera wanted the guy ejected, even as he was injured. I agree with him actually, considering some of the other ejections we've seen in football.SportsAndLady;1550703 wrote:I'm not saying coaches agree with me. Just saying it's a piece of shit move by that punter. -
mhs95_06I can't comprehend why Chris and Al can't fathom why NO chooses 2nd and 3, 2yds further down field than the penalty of 5 yds and a 1st down. Definitely correct to take the 7 yd gain.

Disagree...you take first down over 2nd down 100% of the time. Especially when it's 1st and 5.mhs95_06;1550706 wrote:I can't comprehend why Chris and Al can't fathom why NO chooses 2nd and 3, 2yds further down field than the penalty of 5 yds and a 1st down. It's def holding, making it 1st and 10. It means to get another first down you have to avg 3.3 yds per play instead of the 1.5 yds you need to convert 2nd and 3.SportsAndLady;1550711 wrote:Disagree...you take first down over 2nd down 100% of the time. Especially when it's 1st and 5. -
Ironman92I bet 1st and 5 is picked up more than 2nd and 3
One it's 3 plays to gain 5 yards.....that's slightly easier than 2 plays to gain 3....unless the average NFL play is 2 yards or under. -

Scratch what I said....thought it was 1st and 5mhs95_06;1550717 wrote:It's def holding, making it 1st and 10. It means to get another first down you have to avg 3.3 yds per play instead of the 1.5 yds you need to convert 2nd and 3. -

Are you sure? Collinsworth and Michaels were saying it's 1st and 5 or 2nd and 3. They could be wrong, they're pretty stupid.mhs95_06;1550717 wrote:It's def holding, making it 1st and 10. Laley23Def. Holding is an automatic 1st down, and a 5 yd penalty. So I assume if would be 1st and 10, 5 yards closer or 2nd and 3, 7 yards closer.
I still think I would take the 1st down, but its not a mind-boggling move to decline the penalty. -
Ironman92Anyone not like Drew Brees?
Too short.
He may throw for 70,000 yards before it's said and done. -

Like him, definitely. Hope to see him break a few career records.Ironman92;1550731 wrote:Anyone not like Drew Brees?

Pick6anyone see where AP said Baltimore fans were throwing "ice balls" at him on the sideline?

mhs95_06Did anyone see the TD catch by Jeffery for the Bears just before halftime? When he was near the back of the EZ and the ball was in the air, he kept driving toward the goal post, even though the ball was coming down in the corner of the EZ. I'm wondering if he knew it was coming behind him and was astute enough to keep driving to get space to have room to make the catch one he reversed direction. Or did he misjudge the flight until it was almost too late, and it worked out perfectly, or did the flight of the ball in the wind and cold take a weird dart to the corner? If it was Jeffery's astuteness, he is on his way to greatness, as his other skills are very good. Catching that ball strongly above his head reminded me of Anquan Boldin, and all those great clutch, key catches he made last season in the Ravens' run thru the playoffs.

mhs95_06McCown is really ripping his throws tonight in the frigid weather!

Pick6The Cowboys D is making McCown look like fucking Peyton Manning. Not to mention they all seem to be made of porcelain. Season will probably come down to the last game like always.

Good call on the hands like Boldin.....as for the great catch, I don't know what you said, but it was a great catch and he looks like he's going to be an incredible receiver in the league.mhs95_06;1551198 wrote:Did anyone see the TD catch by Jeffery for the Bears just before halftime? It won't be too long until many teams have 6'3 freak DB's -

Pretty damn good stats in his 7 starts. Better numbers than Cutler. I think the soft rules have allowed once shitty QBs look like HOF QBs. McCown is a FA after this season. I am sure some team is going to throw money at him, even though they shouldn't (34 years old). -

The rules have some to do with it but it also must be pretty nice to have Forte, Marshall, and Jeffery.like_that;1551312 wrote:http://www.nfl.com/player/joshmccown/2505076/profile

True, but there have been some pretty shitty QBs this season who have had serviceable to pretty damn good games, when they have no business having those type of games. Also, Cutler had those same players. -
thavoiceSo anyone think SHanahan should sit RGIII the last few games?
Possible to try and showcase Cousins to possibly trade him?
Legit to keep RG safe or to see if COusins should be the starter and trade RGIII? -

He should sit him, and honestly, he should have sat out the whole season.thavoice;1551373 wrote:So anyone think SHanahan should sit RGIII the last few games?

It's easy to say that now that they are 3-10. However, the NFL is a win now league. Every season, teams can go from worst record to playoffs. Much of the season results have to do with luck with injuries and the schedule.se-alum;1551424 wrote:He should sit him, and honestly, he should have sat out the whole season.
I DO agree however, that they should have at least given Cousins a chance until theyknew RGIII was completely healthy, or like a month ago they should have considered it.
The issue here isn't playing RGIII, it's more about they haven't really done much to showcase Cousins, who may have some value. -
thavoiceHard to have a guy not play in the preseason and then expect him to be all world when it starts. Practice just isnt enough, especially with the new CBA where they dont hit or go live nearly as often in years past.

This and most of his off season workouts were geared toward rehabbing his knee and getting it ready for live action. His focus was his knee, when it would have been much more beneficial for him to focus on improving his game and studying film. I can see him having a bounce back year, but I honestly won't be surprised if he never has a season as good as his rookie season, UNLESS he learns how to be a pocket passer.thavoice;1551459 wrote:Hard to have a guy not play in the preseason and then expect him to be all world when it starts.
