WOW! Steelers eliminated because Brown stepped OB after like 6 laterals had him in the clear for the GW TD.

I think the level of officiating in the NFL is now at an all-time low. Bring back the replacement refs.

Matt Prater makes history! 64 yard field goal.
  • Fly4Fun
New record for longest FG @ 64 yards.

Today really has been a great day for watching the NFL. Damn cold outside and a lot of great games.

Could be about the 50th biggest play of the day.

Statistical questions (zero importance, just wondering)

On Pittsburgh's last play the reception was to Emmanuel Sanders for about 12 yards, he tosses it backwards to Bell who tosses it backwards to Ramon Foster who tosses it back to Roethlisberger who runs forward 6 or 7 yards and slings it to AB around the 33.....he runs about 56 yards before touching OB

In the box score it LOOKS like AB got credit for his yardage but it looks like Sanders got credit for his......if that's the case why not negative yards for Bell and Foster and about 7 yards for Ben?...,,,or do they just give the reception to the guy who runs the farthest?

Also, when Polamalu caught the missed FG and ran it out and then that turned into a circus of plays......are those any kind of statistical return yardage? What's it labeled TD-wise if they do take it back all the way?

    Tldr.

But none of it should have counted as there was a forward pass in there.

intentionally tackling players by their facemasks to save touchdowns is bullshit. that punter should be kicked out and fined.
  • SportsAndLady
That is a really dangerous play by that punter

Could break someone's neck running at full speed doing that.

While true, he's a punter who limped off after the play. It was either that or let him run all the way, which would make him about as big of a bitch as it gets.

If he can't tackle him, he can't tackle him. You let him go. You don't grab his facemask while running at full speed and turn his neck all the way around.

I'm pretty sure every coach, GM and owner would disagree. 15 yard penalty or a TD...in a game that may decide your playoff fate/standing.

Kill the opposing player before you allow him to just go all the way, as mean as it sounds.

I'm not saying coaches agree with me. Just saying it's a piece of shit move by that punter.

I never heard of him until the game started today.....not only did he suck but he's obviously a dirty ass SOB. I did not see that particular happening but he had a late hit on a d-line guy WAY late and helmeted him right in the back. I hope they fine him way more than he is making this season.
