Manning's "legacy" is going to be that of a great "in season" QB but a choke artist when it counts (big games in the playoffs).

Right, because it's Manning's fault that the CB doesn't understand how to keep players in front of him. Sorry, your logic is broken at best and flawed entirely at worst.

So the CB threw the interception in OT when it was Manning's time to shine and build on his "legacy?"

He threw 2 ints, one of which returned for a TD the other a gw FG. His mistakes resulted in 10 points, the CBs resulted in 7.

Whoever made the point about Peyton and his first rounds byes, I agree with you. Peyton would have more wins if his first game wasn't the second round.
  • Rotinaj
Broncos D gave up 38 points to Joe fucking Flacco. End of story.

Ah gotcha. So QBs can't throw INTs; so Tom Brady sucks. Good logic.

..but that also goes against the thinking that some gave that it is a TEAM game and insinuating he didnt have good enough TEAMS. If his team is good enough to get a bye, which he has often, then his team should be good enough to win more often in the playoffs.

It wasnt like his teams were sneaking into the playoffs with the 5-6th seed and with a 9 or 10 win season.

Elway said it best....."You make your money in the regular season. You make your legacy in the playoffs'.

LOL. His first one was tipped. It was easily the receiver's fault.

If NE kept Cassell and dumped Brady, Cassell and Belichick would have combined to win Super Bowls every single year until both retired on the same day. Prove me wrong.

Man, I love this "create impossible hypothetical situation for the win" deal.

You have to have faith Heretic. Haven't you learned how the world works?

I am praying right now. Because that will magically solve all of my (and the world's, by extension) problems.

Cassell did p well in replacing Brady when he tore his knee up. Threw for 3700 or so yards and 21-11 td/int. Not bad.
We all know everything gets tied together in terms of coaches/qb's. One cannot discount though the coaching of these players, the developing of these players, putting them into positions to succeed, building a team around them, and talent evaluation.

You have to look at it all. Belichick has benefitted from Brady...no doubt. BUt who drafted him? Was there like 6 QBs selected ahead of him? Spoodge Wynn was one of them...nice pick cleveland!
Who knows what would have happened to brady if he went some place else. There def is a 'right place, right time' aspect in sports/the world.

I think if I had to pick..I would pick brady over manning if I could have any QB, simply because his winning % and he has doubled his TD/INT ratio whereas PM is much less

I like how its so "cool" that petyon went to the baltimore locker room to meet w/ ray lewis, but when ryan clark did it he got vilified for it

When you get to that second round, there are only 8 teams left. The difference is minimal.

Maybe Manning was asking Ray for advice on how to develop that killer instinct?

What a joke. Manning number 1? I would pick Brady everytime.

I suppose since Farve has a lot of the records now. He is the best ever.

It was Laley and his and your line of thinking is drastically flawed. Teams with a first round byes have by far and away the better team and hold a much better reg season record. As such, they probably win 70% of their first round games.

This weekend, only Peyton's team lost in the first round.

Truly a silly argument made by Laley.

Not to mention they had a week to rest and recover, which is very important in football.

    Thanks for understanding my post...lol:rolleyes:

Peyton is 2-8 in outdoor playoff games played in January. Losses aren't that important though.

New England had a first round bye and had the same record as Houston.

    Wrong again.
