Started this thread so soon mainly because I am curious of everyone's prediction of the crowd. i am going to say it will be 50/50....I think the fans are fed up.

This is going to be an awful game to watch. If Ben is out I think the Browns might actually win.

Pretty close to 50/50. There will be alot of fans selling their tickets to Steeler fans.

Cleveland fans are fed up, and if Haslam is complicit in allowing it to continue then he should enjoy seeing a pro-Steeler crowd this week and lots of empty orange seats after that.

Firing Shurmur tomorrow would be a huge moral boost for the fan base heading into this Steeler game. Haslam has the power to make it happen and would be wise to use it.

Is a 7-9 season and double digit draft pick going to make us any more or less "better" next year?

I bet rest of our home games will be blackout. Why go up and watch it?

well, somehow...the browns have always manipulated the numbers..because we have all seen some of the late season crowds. No blackouts even with around 30k inside the stadium.

I invest a lot of money into my 8 season tickets and trips to Cleveland 8 times a year. plus a pre season game. I don't give to shits about the draft next year. I want wins and I want wins now, not next year, NOW. I don't understand how some people and root to lose simply for draft position.

If Ben is out, i expect this game to be some what competitive.

Weeden is talking about battling in his post game presser.

Shurmur is like a tumor growing inside of these players and he is stunting all of their development.

On a young team a cancer like Shumur is particularly destructive.

Shurmur is a loser, and it is rubbing off on his team.

No I definitely agree the reason why Weeden looks so bad is because of Shurmur.

    Pretty pumped for the tailgate.

I think the crowd will be about 75/25 and the game simply has to suck ass. Both teams frustrate the he'll out of their fans and I cannot expect anything different. The biggest difference is Tomlin vs Shurmur. Shurmur has many Cleveland fans just assuming they'll find a way to lose whereas Tomlin drives us nuts with his calmness but he usually looks good in the end.

On the field these two aren't that far apart. I know Cleveland finds a way to lose but them winning simply will not surprise me.

    I'll guess 17-16 Steelers

If the Browns bring the pass rush they brought yesterday, I actually like their chances.

I'm pretty sure Ben is going to be out. Well with the way they talked last night he will probably be out for a few weeks. I think the Browns can get the W.

I rather have rapistberger play with the chance of the Browns woresening his injury.

Pittsburgh is ripe to be upset right now, but I don't see it happening.

I'm wondering if old man Batch will play.

    12-6 ballgame.
WIll be an ugly, ugly, ugly win for the browns. BUt hey..a win is a win.

Steelers have no options at QB. Some wanna see batch, but I think that will be absolutly ugly as the last time he had arm strength was when bush was in office.

With Batch, you'll get 60% completions...but they'll all be screens and 5-yard routes. With Leftwich, you'll get 50% completion, but a few of them will be down the field (or at least 10 or more yards out).

I wonder if the Cleveland staff is dumb enough to keep Skrine on the field? If so, target him allllllll day.

Steelers by a lot. I have no confidence in this Brown's team, specifically the coach.

Since every Browns game thread I look at seems to have 50+% of its posts discussing just how incompetent Shurmur and company are, there is a good chance of this happening.

If Haden is out, there is really no other option.
  • Automatik
Who filled in for Skrine when he went out? He seemed to do ok, although for only a few plays.

I actually felt bad for Skrine. I can't remember the last time I saw a DB get picked on like that and totally meltdown.

Really? Leftwich, alone, will keep this game close.

Not anymore. Browns defense is stout. Put batch in and they tighten up the secondary and there will be no where to throw becuase CB doesnt have the strength to test the defense.

    Hmmm....this sounds vaguely familiar.
