Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns

Agreed. They're the same type of fan who loved the 49ers in the 80s, the Cowboys in the 90s, and the Patriots/Steelers since around 2000 on.

But a born and bred NEO sports fan cheering on the Steelers with no ties whatsoever would be like an American cheering on China in the Olympics.

Yeah, for me, I have Cleveland friends. I'll be hard-pressed to say much of anything nice about the Browns (although I'm real good at talking to them about team flaws that need corrected FOR HOURS). I don't have an issue with the Indians or Cavs and can watch those games with them and be positive towards them (so I'm not THAT GUY when hanging out, at least)...but actually legit cheering for those teams...not bloody likely.

Exactly! Now that's what I like to see....good old fashioned loyalty to your city and hatred for the opponent city. A lot of younger guys just don't get it because they chase players and root for a team because of certain players. It's unfathomable, if you know the past between these teams, to root for both cities.

Our defense and 8 turnover says differently

Um a bitch slapping is a blowout.
This game showed one bad, bad bad team barely beat a team with a 3rd string QB and 8 turnovers, and if not for a quick whistle just north of the 2 minute warning the steelers would have had 50 yards to go to win the game.

but I imagine they woulda turned it over again anyways...

but hey..a win is a win. I wish the steelers woulda won in the same fashion.

When you lose to the Browns, if it's even 1 point, it's a bitch slap.

On the scoreboard, it was not a "bitch slapping" but physically, the Browns beat up on them at their own game.

Browns have been good at injuring steelers last few years. Rashsama Mendenladen, Rapistberger last season.

Aren't Pitt and WVU rivals? Wouldn't that be the same as saying you like OSU and UM, or Texas and Oklahoma, or Duke and UNC?

Try and stay on topic please. Make a thread about this in CFB forum.

+1. The thread gets back on topic, and mr. "I overstep my boundaries as a mod" has to bring back that argument that has long been completed. Funny how he steps in to bring things back on discussion, yet he can get off topic any time he wants. Still a fail mod, nothing new.

That's true, this thread is about the bitch slapping the steelers got at the hands of the Browns, and pwning that QQing steeler fan from the stadium.

Agreed. Full disclosure, being from Youngstown I went to some Penguins games when I was younger. Never rooted for them though, moreso I really enjoyed watching hockey live. I would go to games generally to see other teams' players: Forsberg with Avalanche, Federov with the Red Wings. Plus Lemieux and Jagr were fun to watch. But I could never be a fan because I HATE Pittsburgh.

And you're not a pittspuke honker? Interesting, most ppl from Pittsburgh (bandwagoners) try and tell you everyone from there aligns with the steelers.

You're right, most are. But my dad is from Strongsville and I'm a CLE fan til I die. Surprisingly, all of my hometown buddies are CLE fans too. I don't think I'm friends with an actual Steelers fan.

Nice to see you surrounding yourself with the right type of people. See you are even going to law school. There is definitely a correlation to this.
