No the replay showed the ball never crossed the plate. Ball all the way

    Both.

Ump has killed them. Then baker and hitters have killed them.

Still too close to take though. Hanigan has been behind the plate all day, he knows this ump has a bad zone. PLUS hanigan loves hitting to right field, and he got a great pitch to push that way. He really failed there. But dusty was even more stupid sending the runners with no outs.

Losing your cy young candidate ACE in a 5 game series is enough an excuse for me..that's killler

Etb terrible comparison. Pitching is wayyyy more important than hitting in the playoffs...plus votto is playing in the playoffs so idk how u can compare the two.

No team ever will win a world series when their ACE goes down the day the playoffs start

Once Affelt got Paul to two strikes on inside pitches, Paul was toast!

Dusty did right. Hanigan killed the 2nd inning when Rolen didn't run and he went 6-4-3. So this time Dusty tried to help him out and he betrayed him by taking the pitch. The hitter has to handle it very differently depending if the runner(s) is going or not. Hanigan did it wrong both times which is a shame, especially when he is usually one of the best on the team in that regard.

Great battle in the shadows between Affelt and Luwick, and Affelt wins to end the 7th with no scoring.

I have got to say, living in Cleveland we know plenty about how to lose in style.

Winning the first 2 on the road in 5 game series, only to then be swept in the next 3 at home is pretty good even by our standards.

Dusty needs to go. Too much talent there for something like this to happen. That is 2 of 3 years now he has been bounced out in the first round. Time for a new voice.

Yes, but they got the full 10+ million dollars from the gate they were sore about not getting in the 2-3 format!

Being an Ohio Sports Fan, I'm pretty used to this... Although it doesn't make it any easier

Honest question, not trying to rub it in (I am a Mets fan, so my smack talk privileges have been revoked): Has any team in MLB history ever lost three straight home games? I am sure it has happened, just at a loss to name a time.

    BP is Sooo good
  • mhs95_06
Great play by BP after the Pence steal to keep it at 6-3. Giants needed Affelt to pitch to Bruce to start the 8th, but he got hit in the rump by the foul and fell down the dugout steps!

Unreal how this season ends..one of the most talented teams can't even get out of the first round.

Hey lets call a steal when were down 3 runs..real smart!

With vottos long extension and most of our core returning, big time managers have to be drooling to manage this team..hope Walt does the right thing.
  • mhs95_06
Why didn't Hanigan hit it like that last time? Oh that would have been a triple play!

Who's really out there right now?

This is why I didn't understand a guy like Francona wasting himself on the Tribe job.

A team like Cincy that has the talent and is on the brink is where he should have gone.
  • mhs95_06
Dusty lost his head and put Frazier up!
  • IggyPride00
3rd inning in a row tying run comes to the plate.
  • osu45804
Another 2-Out chance.... Is it wrong to say I'm just waiting to be disappointed?
  • mhs95_06
Nady will lose a ball in the sun and the Giants will lose the game!
  • SportsAndLady
    This is just torture
  • osu45804
    Damn....
  • mhs95_06
Two great defensive plays keep the Reds at bay in the 8th.
  • Rotinaj
This team needs to grow a sack. Holy shit. Pitiful how many they have left on.
  • BigAppleBuckeye
As bad as you Reds fans are feeling, at least your team didn't trade Pagan away for HORRIBLE scrubs Andre Torres and Ramon Ramirez! It could be worse!!
