So... what do the Browns do with the #1 pick next year?

San Fran is built the same way. Alex Smith isn't a franchise QB, imo, but he's getting it done.

If they can establish Richardson, play defense and Weeden can limit his mistakes, they are going to win quite a few games.
San Fran also has the best line in the league imo. I hope the young guys on the Browns line can gel like that.

Suck a peno for Geno is better IMO. Saw it in Simmons' mailbag

Much rather have a player like Jadeveon Clowney or Jarvis Jones.

You know what's funny? Last year when the Browns played the Niners they had one of those pre-game "breakdowns" of each teams different units (QB's, RB's, O-Line, etc) and the Browns actually were given the "advantage" when breaking down the O-Lines.

I like the mailbag he took the Browns this week.

Well they have Alex Boone, so naturally.

Clowney is next years draft. Only a sophomore. I really wish he could have though. My god think javon kearse but probably better

Yeah, my bad. Thought he was draft eligible.

    He's a beast

Ya we have much more glaring needs than replacing our QB who leads the league in ints and thinks he can throw two forward passes in one play.

Lets go with a d-end that'll change the franchise around.

I dont think there is a qb in this class that can turn a franchise around. I'm not saying that Weeden is the asnwer but I'm not spending a top 3 pick on a guy like Matt Barkley or Geno Smith.

Exactly...Luck & RGIII were the cream of the crop. Nothing like them in the 2013 draft and frankly, I don't think any of them would be much, if any, of an upgrade over Weeden.

And you guys can tell that this early?

BR you don't even watch a lot of college football so how do you even know? Cleveland radio call in guysay it?

And how can you tell Weeden is a bust this early? Oh yeah, you can't.

Don't need to watch a lot to know when I hear from the national analysts, not Cleveland sports (which I don't listen to, BTW), that there's nothing special in this years draft. And BTW, when the fuck did YOU become the "end all, be all" in QB assessment?

Whether he watches much college ball or not, he's not wrong.

    Is Blaine Gabbert a bust?

Fair to say Weeden and Gabbert are fighting it out for title of "NFL's worse starting QB?"

Yea S&L I'm the only QB assessment expert around here.

We've already seen the extent of your football "knowledge." Comparing Weeden to Gabbert is so way off. Weeden's rookie numbers will dwarf Gabbert's. If Weeden is as bad as Gabbert is this year, next year....THEN we can talk.

I am not a Weeden fan, but LMAO at Said. Just further proves my point.

    k.

I'm just asking the question. Wasn't sure if a player got more than one year before they were considered a bust.

    Thanks.

    Answer the question.

Are Weeden and Gabbert the two worse qb's in the NFL?
  • dazedconfused
mingo, montgomery or jones would work...i'd love a trade down, however

no. kansas city's is worse than weeden. i'd put sanchez and fitzpatrick on weeden's level

Wow! Weeden is Sanchez's level? Who has the worse starting offense right now, the Browns or Jets?
I'd think with all the injuries Sanchez has less to work with?

Nacho makes some bone head plays on occasion but I've also seen a lot more good throws from Sanchez than Weeden over his career.

Was trying to at least compare Weeden to qb's who are new, like Gabbert. Didn't realize players could be considered "busts" in just a little over one years time.

Honestly not trying to "troll" here........kinda thought Gabbert and Weeden being the bottom two was fair.
  • Sonofanump
Right now I would take Weeden over:

    Gabbert
    Cassel/Quinn
    Sanchez

Just below Tannehill & R Wilson.
