When is Kyrie coming back?
Wrong....can't believe he's been in the league that long. Kinda forgot he was a Super Sonic
His 3rd year they were 50-32 -
Fly4FunHonestly, need to trade Varejao before he comes down to earth. Hopefully Cavs draft well as there should be a great young nucleus to after this years draft. If only we can be as fortunate as OKC as others have started to allude to.

Commander of AwesomeThe teams that will want Varejao don't have the ammo to give the Cavs in trade to replace the loss. We'd want a high draft pick for him, and the Pistons/Wizards aren't traded a first rounder for him. We don't want an aging player and we don't need the cap relief. Doubt he's traded.

Okc would be the logical choice as they hold Toronto's non protected lottery pick. -
Commander of AwesomeYeah, I even mentioned them earlier in the season (after the first game I belive). Its up to them on if they want to deal that for him. My guess is they don't.

Yeah agree unless Perkins gets hurt or something -

1. Play OKC
2. Have someone worthless like Walton dive into Perkins' legs.
3. Offer Andy in a trade for that pick. -

I cannot articulate how much I disagree. There is no, IMO, possibility of us getting an equal return for his value to our team.Pick6;1330099 wrote:Cavs need to trade him yesterday.

Agreed. Complete the trade while they are on court too. Andy can switch jerseys at halftime.Heretic;1330452 wrote:In other words:

F4F says that's against the NBA rule book. Rule 14, art 5.1 paragraph 2dlike_that;1330460 wrote:Agreed. Complete the trade while they are on court too. Andy can switch jerseys at halftime. -

Oh ok, you should start a new thread about it so F4F doesn't cry.Commander of Awesome;1330477 wrote:F4F says that's against the NBA rule book. Rule 14, art 5.1 paragraph 2d -

Im not saying he isnt one of, if not the most valuable player on our team.lhslep134;1330459 wrote:I cannot articulate how much I disagree. There is no, IMO, possibility of us getting an equal return for his value to our team.

However, we arent competing and we are rebuilding. He isnt in the long-term plan for the team. Get as much value out of him while you can. We need to look at the future, not now.
Not only will be we trading him for more assets, we will also be doing worse due to trading him giving us a worse record, therefore a higher draft pick. -
Commander of AwesomeI'm only in favor of trading Andy for a top 5 pick. Can't get that than I don't want to trade him.

Considering its impossible to tell whether or not you are getting a top 5 pick up until almost the draft, what caliber of player(s) would you accept in a trade?Commander of Awesome;1330486 wrote:I'm only in favor of trading Andy for a top 5 pick. Can't get that than I don't want to trade him. -

oklahoma city for toronto's first round pick would probably be the only decent value out therePick6;1330487 wrote:Considering its impossible to tell whether or not you are getting a top 5 pick up until almost the draft, what caliber of player(s) would you accept in a trade? -

You clearly didn't read that article then. Read it, and then try and attempt to tell me why he wouldn't be in the long term plan.Pick6;1330484 wrote:He isnt in the long-term plan for the team. -

I like Andy, but I think you guys are overvaluing him just a bit. Then again, we did get the #1 overall pick for Mo Williams lol lol lol.gport_tennis;1330494 wrote:Not enough -

I read it, its all opinion. The blogger thinks the aging, injury prone player will have a long career at a high level, I happen to disagree.lhslep134;1330528 wrote:You clearly didn't read that article then. Read it, and then try and attempt to tell me why he wouldn't be in the long term plan.
But I do agree, he is undervalued, and I do not want him traded unless we get what our FO would consider fair-value. -

K, cuz that never happened with Z...Pick6;1330552 wrote:I read it, its ALL opinion. The blogger thinks the aging, injury prone player will have a long career at a high level, I happen to disagree.
Also there is way more fact in that article than you care/want to admit. -
SportsAndLadyOkcs unprotected pick from Toronto is deeeefinitely worth trading Andy. Come on now, were not trading a) a young player or b) an all star. Plus its not like hes been doing this for 5 seasons now.

For every Z there is a Yao, Oden, Roy, Bill Walton, Alan Houston, etc.lhslep134;1330553 wrote:K, cuz that never happened with Z... -

Agreed, but it is also my opinion that there is no fair value out there. He is a top 5 center in the league making nowhere close to top 5 money.Pick6;1330552 wrote:

All guys with the same recurring injury. As the article points out, that's not the case with Varejao. But don't let facts (or those facts that for some unknown reason you consider opinion) get in the way of your argument!
Nothing about his style of play made someone go Tonya Harding bodyguard on his wrist during a routine rebound. Guys that are “injury prone” are guys with degenerative bodies. Think of Brandon Roy, Greg Oden, or even Z before Cleveland doctors fixed him – guys that have constant, nagging issues. (you might even put Boobie Gibson and all his high-ankle sprains into that group) Varejao’s injuries range from broken wrist to dislocated shoulder to broken cheekbone. Maybe his style has something to do with it (flying into the stands and diving on the floor) but in some of these cases clearly there is some bad luck involved. If he was dealing with a nagging knee or back injury every 6 months it’d be different story. Clearly, these injuries haven’t affected his play at all. When he’s out he’s out, when he’s in he’s getting better every day, playing more minutes and at a higher usage rate with the only side effect being a spike in PER as it were. -

This, maybe if we throw in Lakers/Heat pick for this year we could steal Lamb or Jones too since they are having a hard time developing these young guys and getting them time.dazedconfused;1330493 wrote:oklahoma city for toronto's first round pick would probably be the only decent value out there
Then have two lottery picks to take Shabazz and Alex Len. A starting lineup of Kyrie, Dion, Shabazz, TT and Len with Gee, Lamb/Jones and Zeller off the bench.
One can dream haha...
