    Game 1 of the ECF?

Hiring D'Antoni over Phil Jackson (lol)? All that they gave up to rent Howard for one season? They Lakers gave the Cavs a second first rounder this year to rent Ramon fucking Sessions for half a season. Im pretty sure they Lakers dont have a first round pick until 2019. The absolute only way the Lakers have any chance in the foreseeable future after Kobe is by getting lucky in FA.

IMO, and im sure a lot of Lakers fans feel similar, the future doesnt look very bright at the moment for LA.

So, yeah, Im no wizard and cant predict the future spot on, but it doesnt mean I cant make an prediction based on recent events.
It's great ownership though. Just like the Yankees, the kids of the former great boss run the club now and usually rich kids that are given everything are not very successful like their parents who made it all themselves. Firing a coach after 5 games is ridiculous, their team was terribly built, they picked the absolute wrong coach for the job. They'll probably lose Kobe after next year, Howard is gone, Gasol is on the decline, Nash can't guard anyone. The Lakers are on the way down hard

Didn't play a PG the last 5 minutes and Lebron couldn't guard Parker because of how good he is without the ball. I mean Miami almost lost to a well disciplined, complete Indiana team that couldn't hold a possession. SA doesn't turn the ball over and so Miami couldn't kill em with fastbreaks off turnovers all game. IMO Miami played great, Lebron had a heck of a game, but the Heat have so many holes I have a hard time seeing them win this series. Can't rebound the ball, soft inside, do not shoot as well as the Spurs do
Disagree. He had the triple double and 18 rebounds or whatever and all, but he didnt fill his role on offense which is being aggressive and take it to the paint, which is what the Heat need him to do to win.

You high man? He only had 5 shots tonight from outside the paint:confused:

Must win for Miami in game 2? I don't see SA going up again 2 - 0 and losing like last year.

A little drunk. Maybe he did take it to the paint, but I still dont think he was assertive enough on the offensive end.

Prob not, just another example of pick6 talking with his mouth full.

I didnt think he was very aggressive tonight either. He didn't really attack the rim like he should. There's really nobody there to stop him consistently. So I dont know why he didn't take it more often. I do wonder if hes worried some about them taking charges left and right though too

    Good one. You got me.

Care to add anything of value to the discussion?

I'm vaguely familiar with the Stepien rule. Know it limits the first round picks you can trade for consecutive straight years. I don't know specifics, though. Just going off of the source I was looking at. A few were conditional, so I'm not sure if that's a loophole.

Disregard the stupid meme. Focus on the boobs. Did anyone notice this chest last night? I spotted them. Wow.

Chris Bosh as hit 40% of his threes in the playoffs but during the regular season he only shot 28% from three. I think there's a reason he was open at the three point line! :o

Only if Pop is 3 notches above everyone else as well. Spo is a top 5 coach in the NBA.

    I disagree with that.

    Pop
    Doc
    Karl (if he still counts)

Then I would say Vogel, Thibs, Carlisle and a few others I am forgetting would be ahead.

Spo is getting better. He is leaps and bounds better than he was when the Big 3 all came to Miami. But he is still really raw in a lot of areas, imo. Took him forever to make adjustments to Indiana and it almost cost them the series. He wouldnt be able to do what these other guys do without LeBron.

So his team wins over vogels pacers 2 years in a row. Including down 2-1 and in a game 7 and yet he didnt make adjustments and isnt a better coach. Umm ok?

I said he took forever, not he didnt make any.

Also, you have to look at rosters. Pacers were nowhere near Miami last year, and in many ways this year.

Put Vogel on the Heat and Spo on the Pacers and I think the Heat win in 5 games. I thought Indy controlled every part of that series, until game 7 when Spo had a different gameplan. The difference in the other 6 games was 1 team had LeBron James and the other team did not.

    Nope....disagree Spol is top 5

    Like comparing Brady/Rodgers to Shaub

Or Miguel Cabrera to Robinson Cano

    Or LeBron to Westbrook

Yeah a guy who gets 24 1st place votes for coach of the year clearly isn't top 5... (NOT SAYING COACH OF THE YEAR VOTES ARE DISPOSITIVE PROOF OF A COACH'S ABILITY)

    http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2013/03/29/spoelstras-share-of-miamis-success-easier-to-see-than-quantify/

    I
disagree with anyone here who says he's not top 5. Also, I'm not surprised, considering most of you guys couldn't see before the year that Harden was top 25. Some of you guys have some good basketball knowledge but a lot of you speak out of your ass.

I'll continue to discuss basketball on here but it's becoming harder and harder. I'm not even that knowledgeable, but I can recognize unintelligent analysis.

Sorry for the pompous and douchey post, but it's frustrating to just get shot down without a solid counter sometimes.

If you consider Game 3 forever, then yeah, he took forever

I think Vogel is top 5 as well. I have Vogel, Pops, Spo, Doc, Thibs (no order after Pops #1).

He's improved but it's harder than hell to give him top 5 credit when he hasn't done anything without the best player in the world. My grandma Louise guides this team to 60 wins.

If Miami wins it all this year he'll crack my top 5 but for now he just doesn't sell me as a guy getting more done with less......he has to win it all and make adjustments.....he's good but I have Pop at the top and him 6th or 7th, but just not on Pop's level.

Vogel leaving Hibbert out takes him down a couple for me....I know it's just 1 mistake but how the hell does that happen?
