I am interested to see how Cleveland fans react to this news. He did take the Browns from Cleveland... but it's not like he was Sandusky.

Can't say I'm "happy" about his passing but in the same breath, can't say I'm sad.

    Comment of the day.

"The only way this could be any better is if it was from a head on collision with LeBron James."

Also will be interesting Sunday, the NFL requires every stadium to have a moment of silence, and the Browns are at home.

I'd expect a ton of boo's instead of silence.

Meh...my ex-wife was a dirty/filthy whore and I don't even wish "bad" on her. Not worth my time or effort.

Perhaps Modell's death lifts the alleged "curse."

Hopefully not. I like seeing Cleveland fans in misery.

He was an extremely generous individual who wasn't a very good business man.

Link? Or is that some league rule I don't know about?

No link. It was mentioned on Mike & Mike.

Just like we (on the OC) revel in your miserable/pathetic existence. :D

I feel sad that he ruined what could have been a great legacy. In a sense, he was dead to me when he took the Browns to Baltimore. This is just a physical passing...the emotional part has been gone over 15 years.

You wonder if he had it to do all over again if he would move the team still knowing what he knew afterward.

He turned into a pariah after the move, and probably would have gotten into the HOF while he was alive were it not for the ill will it would have created.

Hell I thought he was already dead.

That's how I feel as well. He could always go fuck himself, but I was not wishing death upon him, and I will not celebrate a man's death with a few exceptions (i.e. bin laden).

I am sure Cleveland fans will do something that the media will pick up on and paint us fans a classless. Typical narrow sighted reporting by the media.

Can't say I blame them. Modell established his own "legacy" in Cleveland, not sure why him dying would all of a sudden erase all the hatred for him.

Sadly, I was thinking the same thing.

Why? Because you are POS troll? Not calling you one, just asking.

    +1

I always get a good laugh at his QQ threads.

+1. This day honestly will just be a reminder of how much of a scumbag he was.
