Sure thing. I think there are other provisions like teams under the salary cap get first dibs, but that's the basic framework from what I've read.Midstate01;1226288 wrote:Boom. Nice response. I wasn't sure if that's how it worked. Thanks! -

Probably. Or else you gotta think the big market teams over the cap would have paid all or most of a few guys already. -

Any team can bid on an amnesty players salary. They bid the portion they are willing to pay, and the highest bid wins. Whatever portion is bid is the portion that team pays, the remainder is paid by the team that amnestied the player.
Ex. Player has salary of $10 mil. Gets amnestied.
Highest bid is $2 mil. Bidding team gets the player and pays $2 mil. Amnestying team pays remaining $8 mil, but it doesn't count against the cap.
The teams that wins, the amount they pay goes towards the cap or no? -
killer_ewokThe Knicks traded for Kurt Thomas??? Another former Knick who is old. I have no idea what the Knicks are doing. I'm guessing they don't either.

They're trying to be good enough to get the 4th seed so instead of getting swept by a good team they lose in 6 to a shitty team.killer_ewok;1226650 wrote:The Knicks traded for Kurt Thomas??? Another former Knick who is old. I have no idea what the Knicks are doing. I'm guessing they don't either. -

wildcats20OJ Mayo has signed with Dallas. Dirk getting a little bit of help..

Commander of AwesomeI'm surprised it took so long to get him signed. I wish the Cavs would have tried to sign him, he's a guy that score 20 or close to it if he's getting playing time.

robj55Humphries has averaged a double double the last two years. IDK about 12 mill a year but he should be worth 9-10.
