    Cueto vs. Gomez

    Lineups to come...

    Joey is the GOAT.

    Dusty is an idiot.
  • Ironman92
    Pretty good rundown actually.
  • ohiobucks1
Kipness + Cabrera = GOAT middle infield

    Acta = OK

    Hope this helps
  • wildcats20
    It doesn't.
  • ohiobucks1
You will be a witness to Kipness soon enough

Why do you guys make single game threads? It's clutterfail and unorganized. If you want to reference something from Game 1 during game 3, you have to search for the Game 1 thread!!!

I really wish Dusty wasn't scared to set the lineup the way he should. At this point, the lineup should be:

    Phillips
    Heisey
    Votto
    Bruce
    Frazier
    Hanigan
    Cozart
    Ludwick
  • Rotinaj
Im fine with basically any line up that has Votto 3rd Bruce 4th and Ludwick at 8th.

I wouldn't even mind Frazier 4th and Bruce 5th. BP is a better hitter at leadoff, because he doesn't try to do as much.

REds may win 1 of the games, but the swirling down the crapper has started after that embarrassing loss on SNB.

I would love to see what Frazier could do batting cleanup. It will never happen.

Anyone going to the game tonight?

Yes. My first Reds-Indians game at the GABP. Went to the inaugural one forever ago at the Jake, maybe 1997?
  • wes_mantooth
I really look for the team that gives up the least amount of runs tonight to win.
  • Terry_Tate
I've got tickets to the game tonight but have a golf outing that may go too late. Hopefully I can go, I love the Battle of Ohio.

Maybe just give me your ticket so it doesn't go to waste. :)

Since this is the thread I assume more Reds fans will be in, what is there to do around town before the game? We're going up around 2ish. Is there tailgating, or should we just walk the city?

No tailgating. Depends on what you're looking to get in to. There isn't much going on downtown during the day. Plenty of places to eat, though.

I dunno if it is standard. But I was visiting my sister 2 years ago and we all went to a Reds vs Brewers game. Just went to a bar downtown at like 3pm and got lunch/dinner and sufficiently drunk. Then just went to the game and only had to buy a single beer apiece to stay drunk.

    That would be ideal.

We also went to one within walking distance, which Im sure you would do, but you will more than likely run into other Tribe/Reds fans as well. Seemed to be a popular thing to do. Then again, we went on a Thursday, which is more of a go out night than Tuesday.

Just checking in to see what this single game thread business is all about. ;-)

It was just a matter of time before Andruzec, sp?, and chapman were gonna come back to earth.

Does anything think that being in the BP will retard, uh huh, i said retard, Chapmans growth as a pitcher? Last year he had control problems, and pretty much could only throw a FB for a strike with any consistancy, and at times that was even tough. I think that was a simple victim of trying to throw 103+ every pitch.

When he was battling for a spot in the rotatoin this spring he got in more innings. More innings means more pitches and in turn allowed him to work on his slider, change and such. Early this year outta the pen he was still blowing away hitters and also was throwing that 92 mph slider for a strike and making guys look rediculous. Then he went on a streak of games of throwing pretty much nothing but heat. He was still blasting guys but I think now that the hitters dont even consider the slider they are sitting on the FB. 99-100 is fast..no doubt...but when a MLB player is 99.99999% certain that is what is coming he is more likely to hit it. earlier on the missile was throwing more sliders and keeping htat in their minds.

As a reliever it is harder to work on that...less pitches

My gf and I always go to the Levee in Newport, KY (you can park for like $3 bucks for the night if you get there early) around 4:00. Bunch of bars/restaurants there that have happy hours and Red's specials. Then whenever you want to walk to the game, you just take the pedestrian bridge across the river which takes you right to the stadium.

Its not the most traditional, but parking is cheap and you can get some good deals on beer. Get liquored up beforehand, walk over and you won't drink as much at $9/pop
