Braves (Beachy) @ Reds (Latos) - game 2

    Roy Cozart is awesome.

Reds have tripled Beachy's HR total for the entire season in just 3 innings. Sweet.

    Great throw Stubbs!!

Nice play by Stubbs to nail Freeman.

What does the cowboy mean by "giving up cheap home runs" in this ballpark??

Neither of them were cheapies either. Both to deep parts of the ballpark.
  • Midstate01
This is what makes Latos so frustrating. Stay aggressive!!

Mostly every HR hit to RF is cheap unless its up a bunch of rows. I don't know of another ballpark that has a virtually straight wall from dead CF to the RF foul pole. I mean, its curved a bit, but most ballparks have some sort of right center field cutout to expand the playing field.

That throw by stubbs was huge. Need Latos to get ut of this inning without any more trouble.

    Phillips!!

THAT is a GABP cheapie. But I'll take it.

I'll be there on Saturday if I can find some cheap tickets...wanna chug a beer and make fun of people?

Can't do the softball...ever since Sage's infamous softball rants I can never play softball lol

Probably a triple anywhere else. But I'll take it.

I don't think there are any "deep" parts in GABP!

Thought I was going tonight, but unfortunately that didn't come to fruition. I will be there Saturday night though.

Both of the Brave starters from the last two nights are going to be "head cases" regarding HRs and GABP!

David Ross just doesn't have it tonight.

Wonder if his wife is in the house tonight. Think it was Ross who had the smoking hot wife
  • Midstate01
Phillips will be swinging out of his shoes this at bat

Yes. And forget sage, softball is fun when you don't take it serious. I plan on drinking.

No idea why costanzo keeps getting bats. He's garbage

Dusty out smarted on the pitch-out on the hit and run with Heisey and Hanigan. Great tag play by Uggla on Heisey with the throw tailing into him. Heisey must have a very high opinion of himself on his speed when the batter doesn't touch the ball and slides straight into the the bag. With that throw the way it was a little fade away slide to the outside of the bag would have made him safe. Can he not see Uggla way to the inside and react to that by going to the outside?

The good news was that Hanigan walked allowing the 9th place in the order to be cleared, paving the way for Ondrusek to go past one inning if he is pitching lights out. However Dusty will probably be set in the script which means just one inning per pitcher, rather than making decisions based on what is happening in the game!

You can tell how good/bad a guy is from <10 at bats? Damn.....glad you're not in the front office....you would have cut Jay Bruce during his current 1 for 23 streak.
  • Midstate01
You can tell when they aren't ready. Kid swings at virtually anything.
Bruce sucks right now but he's making too much money to sit.
