He did a good job to not let that error by Duncan escalate.

Nice 1-2-3 inning fro Ubaldo. Always nice to end your night finishing an inning (and with a lead), particularly with a K.
  • hoops23
Bullpen is going to give away this game. Cespedes. Smh
  • hoops23
    Are you fucking kidding me?
  • iclfan2
Shoulda been strike 3. Blown call. They still get out of the inning. 4-3 now. geeez.
  • iclfan2
So 1st and 2nd 0 outs... why is Kotchman not sac bunting? C'mon Acta.
  • iclfan2
And double play. Acta, I like you, but that is a bonehead move, moron.

And he hits into a DP. Lol. Rick Manning was getting on Acta the entire time.

So glad we preferred to sign Kotchman over Cespedes.

Perfect chance to add to the lead and we blow it again. Casey was lost that entire AB.
  • hoops23
Hope these blown chances don't hurt us in the bottom of this 9th.
  • chippy10
i bet perez blows it in the ninth.
  • hoops23
    This is somewhat pathetic.
  • hoops23
    Lol. This homeplate ump sucks.

    I'm glad I didn't see this:confused:.. Tribe wins despite:rolleyes:

In regards to Kotchman/Cespedes...This move has $$$$/ownership failure all over it. Particularly galling is that we needed a right handed power hitter almost more than anything, and if Yoenis turns out to be the real deal, this non-move will be the biggest in a series of black marks on Dolan's tenure.
Worse... unless the Tribe wins the Series, the Kotchman deal does nothing/solves nothing and cannot turn to anything but crap. He was signed for $3million for one year without even an option. So even if he does well...he's gone next year. Not only do we miss on Cespedes, we ink a deal that cannot be anything more than a 1 year stop gap.

Almost all our 'moves' seem to be desgned to limit failure rather than bring success.

    Well done, Tribe!

On the way home last night, I heard Hamilton say that the pitching has set baseball back several years....lol. With the look of the score, the hitting must have been just as bad....

anyhow, good start to the series...what a great road trip so far.

Oaklands starters had 6 walks an 2 HBP in 5 innings I believe. About half the balls the threw were like a shotgun. Spraying all over the place. He had no clue where his pitches were going to end up.

yeah, he said Ubaldo wasn't sharp either....I didn't get to see much of the game and just listened on the way home from the bar for a few minutes

Ubaldo was just Ubaldo. Set the first two down then throw 5 straight balls and get a groundout to get out of a jam. Frustrating, but he battled throw it again.

The Oakland pitcher, as I said earlier, looked like Rick Vaughn before glasses. He was that all over the place.

I am ready for this road trip to end so I can be able to watch the whole game again, but at the same time they are on such a roll they are welcome to stay away from the unfriendly confines of Jacobs field if it means continued winning.
