SHOW SOME BONUS CONVERAGE ON CNBC YOU ASSHOLES, considering a shitload of people don't have NBCSN if you ever want the NHL to get any decent coverage. NBC Sports is amazingly incompetent, which is why rebranding Versus will do absolutely nothing for them.
Thats the same way they have always done those extra stations. Eventually enough people complain they dont get it, and the cable company will start to carry it. No way the station expands without people buying it. People wont buy it if they dont have too. With the Olympics coming, they would be VERY smart to put some popular stuff on NBCSN. FORCE the cable companies to carry the station.

Great game in DC last night, one of the best ones i've ever been to. Bruins finally getting some past Holtby, hopefully that'll rattle his confidence a bit and the B's can close it out in 5.

    My reaction to that.

This Florida-NJ series is actually pretty good. Devils went up 3-0 early in the 1st but the Panthers scored 4 unanswered and are in the lead.

Mr. Torres, Mr. Shannahan will see you now.

My god that was ugly. All these suspensions don't seem to be deterring guys from going high and hard.
  • gorocks99
Raffi Torres is an idiot. Just part of that goon squad they had in Vancouver last year. He'll for sure be suspended. Gotta wonder how bad an injury it is.
  • chicago510
No penalty on the play either. NHL has to do something about this, and I'm the biggest fan of the violent nature of sports.

He shouldn't play again this post season. If Shaw got 3 for glancing the goalie, thats 10 minimum. Left his feet, hit was late and his arm was raised.

They should've suspended Shea Weber off the bat in this year's playoffs. And as much as it's gonna suck for the guy it happens to, there needs to be a -major- example made of someone if it keeps happening. Maybe Torres will be it.

I really don't think it was THAT bad.

The stick to the neck hit by that fucker on Pittsburgh was a lot worse, just didn't injury the guy as bad.

Well yeah, that was intentionally malicious, but as far as hits go this was bad.

They were both cheap. Don't leave your skates to hit a guy high, ever. Don't cross-check a guy to the throat and then try to donkey punch him when he's down. Honestly, Shanahan should be doling out suspensions to both. More to the Pittsburgh guy.

I actually read that Backstrom did some shit that was as bad as what Asham did. Bruins will supposedly be "going for his head" in the next game.

Sounds a lot like Bertuzzi chatting about Steve Moore. Makes me sick.

Don't get me wrong, it was a bullshit hit..and he should have been penalized.

But if Hossa wasn't so fucked up, not a lot of people would have noticed, other than it just being a pretty cheap hit.

The outcome, and the fact that Torres is notoriously dirty.

And in results, Florida wins in NJ to take a 2-1 series lead. Don't think a lot of people saw that coming.

I think about 8 people outside of Fla/NJ care about that series lol.

And when you throw Florida into the mix, it's 10.

Speaking of that..Bertuzzi v Moore is coming up later this year. Being sued for 19 mill I believe.

Probably why Bertuzzi will keep playing for as long as he can. He knows when he retires he's losing everything.
  • chicago510
Did Moore never play again? Remember the hit but the aftermath not so much.
  • gorocks99
Detroit just got lucky as hell. Should've been a goal for Nashville.

Nope. Never played again (although, he was skating as soon as 2005 and rumors were that he could've made it back)
