2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs

I'm hoping they beat the crap out of each other and go 7 so if the bruins get by the caps they can beat on a bruised team. I just think it'll be a shorter series than people think.gorocks99;1141514 wrote:Could see Pittsburgh in 6. I think it'll be a pretty physical series, going 7 will really depend on Bryzgalov stepping up. He was crap early this year but in February and March has given up <2 goals a game with a .939 save percentage. If he can carry his recent performance into the playoffs they could be pesky for Pittsburgh. -

Raw Dawgin' itBig Jimmy Howard fan - but would like to see Nashville make a deep run.

gorocks99Honestly, I'm engaged to a huge Red Wings fan and I'd never admit this to her, but I'd like to see Nashville do well as well. They could be a good "sleeper" team coming out of the west, I really like the way that team is put together. Their fans seem to "get it" as well, which is rare for a southern team.

Laley23Pulling for Detroit and the Datsuykian (take a drink) one. But their form to end the year has really tempered my expectations. They leave a lot to be desired. But as always, they have the experience, and it wouldnt shock me or anyone else if they made a deep run...or got bounced in 5.

NonShould there be an individual thread for the Penguins Stanley Cup run?
-
End of LineRangers in 7 (They struggled against Ottawa)
Bruins in 7 (Struggled against the Caps)
Devils in 5
Penguins in 6
Canucks in 5
Blues in 6
Blackhawks in 6
Predators in 6 -
End of LineI really want the Canucks and 'Hawks to meet up again so I can post this picture over and over.
-
HereticLooking forward to tonight. Love the playoff season! Pure intensity from start to finish.
-
NonGoing to Game 5 of this series.
It'll be a war. But I think if the Pens survive this series they'll have a good shot to reach the finals. -
Crimson streakI like the flyers in this series. There is some bad blood and I think Philli Will be more focused. It should be a great series though

it's called the penguins thread - feel free to stay there.Non;1141600 wrote:Should there be an individual thread for the Penguins Stanley Cup run? -
End of LineI personally think the Rangers will struggle this year, again.
They have 0 secondary scoring outside of Richards, Gaborik, and Callahan. -

Classyposter58Come on Detroit has been resting everyone down the stretch. Before that they were the #1 seed. This team is still great and the most dangerous underdog out there.
Btw I've got Boston-Detroit in the finals -
chicago510Wait, there are games on CNBC this year? Thats awesome, because my cheap ass doesn't get Versus or whatever its called now, so I stream most of them online.
-
chicago510Rangers in 6
Bruins in 6
Devils in 5
Penguins in 7 (One of the best 1st round series ever)
Canucks in 7 (Sedin is out tonight, could hurt)
Sharks in 6
Blackhawks in 6
Red Wings in 7 -
AutomatikI don't know why people think the Philly/Pitts series will be an easy one. Like all the times they've played before I expect a war.
Of course I'd like Pitts to wrap it up quick, but I'll be surprised if it goes less than 6. -
Raw Dawgin' it
I'm hoping they're beat to hell by the second round, but i think Philly is weak on D and in goal. I could see all the games being close but i think Pitt is a much deeper team and will win in 5. If it goes 6 i don't think it'll be a close 6, by that i mean Pitt goes up 3-1 then closes it out in the 6th.Automatik;1141843 wrote:I don't know why people think the Philly/Pitts series will be an easy one. gorocks99Just like that, 1-0 Pens.
-
chicago510Not a good start for Philly...all Pens so far.

I hope detroit loses first round, just like their football team, so you can shut up about them.Classyposter58;1141830 wrote:Come on Detroit has been resting everyone down the stretch. Before that they were the #1 seed. This team is still great and the most dangerous underdog out there.
