Tiger is always listed on ESPN's bottomline regardless of his score or the standings. SOMEONE CALL ESPN!!!!:laugh:queencitybuckeye;1137595 wrote:Please cite this in the rules of golf.
It's by score and people the public gives a fuck about. -

Where does that say anything about TV?ccrunner609;1137599 wrote:here is the protocol for the leaderboard and how scores are listed. -

Great way to market the sport to a casual fan, so he/she doesn't really know who is in the lead, and how far back the other golfers really are. SMH.ccrunner609;1137604 wrote:TV coverage should do the sport the proper justice and so it correctly. -

So once again, where does it say TV has to follow said protocol?ccrunner609;1137604 wrote:TV coverage should do the sport the proper justice and so it correctly.
They are going to appeal to what their audience wants, no matter what. You would have NO problem if it was anyone else. You are just choosing to bitch and cry about it because it's Tiger. -

It still is lowest score to highest. -
HereticThis ranks very highly on the "dumbest things ever to get panties twisted up over" list of retarded complaints about a televised sporting event.

Is the lack of attribution meaningful, or just additional proof that you're not very bright?ccrunner609;1137599 wrote:here is the protocol for the leaderboard and how scores are listed. -

And who gives a fuck other than you and the Klan? They've done the same sort of things with guys like Mickelson, too. Big names get more publicity. Why do you want everyone to be equal, you damn socialist commie!?!?ccrunner609;1137614 wrote:But I am right. TV shows the leaderboard out of order just to suck Tigers dick. -
wildcats20Tiger moves to -2 and is listed above the -1 guys.
You probably have a problem with that too. -

I'm aware. I was mocking ccrunner wanting them to list the leaderboard by who is closest to the 18th hole.wildcats20;1137609 wrote:They aren't showing the leaderboard out of order.

That's how it is supposed to be listed for the MASTER'S SCORE TABLE.ccrunner609;1137621 wrote:STFU, that has nothing to do with it. THis is how it is supposed to be listed.

With ESPN, they can list their rankings anyway they want. How hard is that to understand. People want to see how Tiger is doing, not some bumfuck from nebraska playing in his 15th major and never making the cut. Get that through your head. -
wildcats20Is it really hurting you? You obviously have the ability to see it online there, why continue bitching? Write CBS/ESPN a letter.

Laley23LOL at Tiger being bad for Golf on TV. Maybe to the purists, it pisses them off. But guess what? CBS/ESPN/NBC dont give to fucks about you and what you want. They appeal to the masses, and the masses want every shot of Tiger in the lead or in last place. So they get it.
Now, stfu about something that isnt wrong, isnt breaking any code or rule or law, and isnt affecting anyone in a negative manner. -

TV is not affiliated with the PGA. Anything affiliated with it (ie, their scoreboard on the course, the ESPN and CBS one on TV covering the event, etc) need to follow their rules.ccrunner609;1137643 wrote:Yes it is, the leaderboard posting have certain rules that should be followed. ESPN.com and all the other web outlets dont need to do so. They can do whatever they want. Where in the rules does it say, its against the rules to post scores out of order on a 3rd party website? -
lhslep134
And they are followed. At the course. The only place the scoreboard rules actually come into play. TV can do what they want. Hell, they could list the scoreboard alphabetically if they really wanted to.ccrunner609;1137643 wrote:Yes it is, the leaderboard posting have certain rules that should be followed.
Not surprised that you don't know that. -
DeyDurkie5ccrunner, Tiger is on the front page of ESPN although he isn't leading. Get pissed and complain!!
