I think all 3 are ok with how each sport is doing.....but good jobs are rarely promoted and the negative stuff overwhelms.

I think baseball, basketball and football are all just fine.....hockey? Lol

You're right, baseball is only important in the Northeast, Midwest, West Coast and South. Definitely regional

900 home games a year and $75 beers probably have something to do with it.

People gotta go and people gotta buy. A crappy product wouldn't make any of that very feasible.

Has nothing to do with attendance. I mean, thats great and all, but your sport needs to be national. No one watches any game outside their team. Ratings are TERRIBLE for the national games. Sure, attendance is fine and people watch on their teams FSN channel. But as a whole, MLB is failing nationally. Ratings suck and its mainly because if your team isnt playing, you dont give a fuck about the game.

    The NFL has...

    1. Football. It's the most popular sport in the USA. High school. College. Pro.
    2. Fantasy football. Sure, other sports have fantasy, but football is the king.
    3. All games are on Sunday's (except one Thursday and Monday). Given the nature of the sport and a lesser-game schedule, it's much easier to designate a day for the sport.
    4. NFL Network, NFL Red Zone, NFL Sunday Ticket. The first two especially have really helped viewership.

I will admit the NFL is very smart when it comes to marketing and televising their sport. They have taken a seemingly unreleated game and modified form of gambling (fantasy football) and have made it a part of the standard coverage. Networks broadcast the game and also update fantasy stats. I also greatly admire the NFL because despite having their "media darlings", they do give pretty fair treatment and coverage to all teams. No other sport does this.

I meant for the playoffs since he was hurt. I know he is hurt, but have no idea how long he is out.
  • Ironman92
I thought he was going to be back for playoff time, though not full strength the first game.

Richard Sherman has supposedly won his appeal

He threatened a lawsuit and his explanation was that a teammate put Adderall into a water bottle and he mistakenly drank it. Goodell is going soft!

Maybe Sanchez will get hurt and Tebow will start at fullback in the QB less offense.
