    Packers re-sign Jermichael "stonehands" Finley to a 2-year, $15m deal:http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7604564/source-green-bay-packers-jermichael-finley-reach-two-year-15m-deal

He better hope he gets his woes fixed with that short of a deal, otherwise he'll fall straight out of top TE territory and pay in two years.

Surprised he agreed to a 2 year deal. I would think he would have gotten a better deal in the open market.
  • gorocks99
Yeah, figured he could've commanded closer to 4-5 years and $30m+ on the open market. But he must think he's gonna get some amazing numbers in the offense over the next two years and bump up that number even further, I dunno.

Personally, and I'm a huge Packers fan, if his head doesn't get on straight and he doesn't figure shit out in terms of catching the ball, he can GTFO. He was targeted 101 times last year and dropped 11 balls. That's >10% of the time he's just gonna drop it. When Rodgers isn't likely to unintentionally overthrow you that often, you have an opportunity to catch balls coming your way.

    I would have taken him.

So they have to pay him top 5 money? Lol if I'm every other team I let them drown on that anchor

Jeez, that's pretty ballsy. They're really banking that there are some very interested parties out there. Also, do you have a link? Just did a search and couldn't find anything online about it.

A mention in a Bleacher Report column? Pardon my cynicism, but I'll wait until there's something more concrete. There's literally no other information out there saying the decision has been made.
  • Commander of Awesome
Oh why didn't you say it was Bleacher Report. That's worth about as reliable as Cleveland Radio

Gregg Williams (now with Rams) and the Saints expected to be disciplined for putting "bounties" on opposing teams heads for hits, etc.

Penalties expected to be significant according to Schefter and King.

Heard there could be loss of draft choices. They said the punishment is expected to be much worse than Spygate.

Goodell will banish the Saints to the arena league for this.
  • gorocks99
Goodell will HAMMER everyone involved. Sounds like there were a lot of people in on it too.

I expect Harrison to have to pay about $200,000 and 6 games for this one!
