Absolutely crazy feeling for Ichiro and every Mariners fan.
    Very crazy and weird.

It is a "wtf" move, but it makes a ton of sense. Seattle is a young team. They have young guys who need experience. They aren't going anywhere. Ichiro is a 38 year old, over-the-hill, .270 hitter. Still good in the OF, but not the 225 hits guy he was. He's ready to win a championship. He deserves it. Seattle lost their star, but it was a good for both parties.

Wow Hanley traded to the dodgers.

Can't believe that's not getting more publicity.

    Freakin Marlins lol

Cole Hamels stays with the Phillies. Deal is six years, $144 million with a 7th year option. Phillies now have 3 starting pitchers getting paid 20 million a year.

    And they still blow.

Hanley to the Dodgers came out of nowhere.

So when will the Jose Bautista for Drew Stubbs deal get done?

And he'll be coming off the bench.

Doubtful. Especially with Dee Gordon on the DL. But even when he comes back, doubt it.

Yea he will be playing. You don't take on that kind of money to not play someone.

    No.

Unless you meant before he goes out to shortstop he'll be sitting on the bench and be getting up off of it.

Not sure who it was but I heard it on the radio. Said he would come off the bench and Uribe is the starter.

Uribe was close to being dumped...he's having a terrible year. Hanley plays over him easily. You must have heard someone mis-speak.

I forgot how well Ramirez is hitting and how much a headcase he is not. Thanks for reminding me.

lol. They are not trading for Hanley Ramirez to sit him behind Juan Uribe.

Quite a start for Mets' prospect Matt Harvey last night ... 11 Ks in his major league debut while pitching 5.1 scoreless innings. He and Zach Wheeler (who was obtained from SF in the Beltran trade) are supposed to anchor this staff for the next decade. Hopefully this is one small step toward respectability (too bad we need many, many, many more small steps).
