    No. I did not.

I said I think of elite as the 2 or 3 best at their position.

Then I said Eli is not better than Manning, Brees, Brady, or Rodgers.

    Comprende'?
lol so which one isn't elite then?

Stafford came pretty close, didn't he? Do you consider him elite? lol

This breaks down the pros-and-cons of Eli quite nicely.

    Peyton?

Also, Brees to this date > Rodgers to this date.

lol you're not comparing Brees to Stafford? Give me a break. Is stafford on pace to break Unitis' TD pass record too?

lol brees and manning aren't elite....wow smh

Brees and P. Manning are not Elite but Rogers is. Is it the discount double check commercials that put Rogers over the top for you? smh But I am not really surprised by this considering the source.
If there can only 2 Elite QB's at one time who was Elite and who wasn't when Elway,Montana,Marino and Kelly were playing?

I'd probably put Brees as that 3rd elite player. Again, if 5 players at a position are elite, that kinda contradicts the definition of elite. I define elite as the top 2 maybe top 3 at their position. Obviously Manning would be there if not for all these injury complications. I guess thats sort of a cop-out for me but I mean it's true, how can you put someone at the top of their position if he hasn't played in over a year? And may never play again?

I feel like you guys are freaking out over this lol it's just one man's opinion on elite status in the NFL. Brees, Rodgers, Manning, and Brady are ridiculous players at their position, some of the best we've ever seen...and all 4 of them are playing at the same time. Just because Brees may be outside of Brady and Rodgers for me doesn't mean I still don't consider him one of the best to play the position.

No i'm saying if you're going to say Brees should be up there because he broke a record, shouldn't STafford be up there since he came like a hundred yards short of that record?

And I never said "brees and manning aren't elite"...I'm saying Manning is elite but the guy may never play football again; and if he comes back and isn't the same old Manning, then what? And Brees, I guess I would put at that 3rd elite status. But being behind Rodgers and Brady doesn't exactly mean he's shit lol

    So i'll summarize:

    Elite:
    Brady
    Rodgers
    Brees

Would be elite if he played:
    Manning

    Just behind elite status:
    Eli

    P Manning

    E. Manning

You cannot spell Elite without Eli.

If Eli has finally grown passed the "hey, I am going to throw 4-6 ints this game" stage of his career, then yeah I would consider him elite.
  • BearBoy69
If Eli is elite then so is Cam Newton.

Other note: Even if Ben is not elite, he is def still top five, 2 SB rings, 3 appearances, a healthy Big Ben is dangerous, right now he makes that offense

Championships dont make you elite. I fucking hate that shit. Stats weigh more imo. Ben falls well short on elite status.

What about come from behind wins?

When you combine is record and stats Roethlisberger is definitely in the "elite" category IMO. He's not quite up there w/ Brady, Rodgers, Brees or Manning....but right after them. I'd say he is in the 2nd tier of QBs, right along with Eli.

It should be taken into consideration. You better have had a helluva good career w/o any championships to be elite.

The only reason i am rooting against Eli is because it'd be a crime if he had more rings than Peyton. Eli only wishes to be as good as Peyton
