I think he would...problem is, I don't think the Dolans have any intention of ever selling. Jacobs reamed them pretty good and now they are stuck with it.

I have never reported a post in my entire time on this board. If "riling" people up is so wrong then make it a rule. Talking about Cavs attendance figures is legitimate in a Cavs season thread and its not to "rile" people up. Its to dispute what Cavs fans said last year about the attendance not dropping off because Lebron left.

Ummm isn't that exactly what riles ppl up??

Wilbon from PTI thinks Lebron is coming back to Cleveland. Talks about at around the 15:50 mark.

Interesting. Would the fans accept him? Would Gilbert even want him? I say yes and yes. Cleveland fans, and I'm one of them, can flip a switch real quick on anybody.

Nope, fuck him. Hope he tries to come back and we tell him no and win a ring without him. POS.

No way Dan Gilbert "allows" it to happen.

    Agreed.

We all learned that he was a pos....there was always rumors, but we didn't want to believe it. Won't fool us again.

It was all a scheme from the get go.

LeBron leaves Cleveland in the worst way possible and Dan Gilbert rips him publicly. This makes it seem legit...

Knowing that the current model wasn't working, LeBron makes a deal to leave for a few years, allowing the Cavs to aquire the young talent they lacked during his regime there. Now, with players like Kyrie and T2 and a great shot at another lottery pick, the future looks bright again, allowing LeBron to come back.

    Terrible plot.

And leaves again after 3 years of no championships.

Lebron isn't that smart to do something like that. What if he issued a full page apology in the Cleveland Plain Dealer and held a news conference saying he is bringing his talents back to Cleveland where they belong?

"Burnt bridge" doesn't accurately describe the relationship LeBron James now has with his home region. More like burnt the bridge and pissed on the ashes. Unless he comes back washed up and championship-less in about 10 years I don't see a return to Cleveland happening.

Agreed. I'd take Boozer back before I'd take Lebron.

I mean, I want the Cavs to win a championship ultimately. So far no team in the history of the NBA has won a championship with LeBron James on their roster.

    Great point.

Speaking of LeBron and Kobe. The Heat are supposed to play the Lakers tonight, and Wade is obviously out. Well know apparently LeBron has been "sent home from the shoot around due to illness". Convenient timing going against Kobe and Mike Brown. Sounds a lot like his elbow injury against Boston.

My biggest beef with Lebron (when he was in Cleveland) was only involving teammates really really early in the game, otherwise, he dominated the ball, and when he had nothing, he'd pass off to Mo Williams with 3 seconds on the shot clock, then make it out to be like he has nothing around him. Then we'd hear the same from the media as they bagged on Cleveland. He rarely gave his teammates a fair shot, especially in that Boston series. People often forget that it was Mo Williams that sparked them in game 1 against Boston (remember when he postered Ray Allen?) and it was a complete team effort in game 3 when they handed the Boston Celtics their worst home playoff loss, ever.

Lebron didn't even single-handely win one game that series, yet he and the media made it out to be like he had nothing around him and his teammates were just a bunch of scrubs.

    Fuck LeBron, no thanks.

Looks like Miami's #6 has had his share of fornication on this thread so no need for me to say "fuck him." Would Cleveland welcome back Art Modell with open arms? Pass....
  • jordo212000
Gilbert couldn't welcome him back now. After BBQing Lebron in Comic Sans and acting like a crazy ex-girlfriend, there's just no way that either of them could work together again.

Now if Gilbert sells, I guess it could happen. Lebron would need to hire a top notch PR firm though to make it happen.

Lebron didn't move the team not a fair comparison. Art Modell is in a class all by himself. Because of Modell Cleveland was without football for 3 years and you could make a case that he has ruined football in Cleveland for 17 years and counting.
