Rose is better right now but he jas proven to be injury prone.Mulva;1209688 wrote:Obviously at this point you have to take Rose. If Kyrie progresses the way he looks like he will, then in 2-3 years the answer could be very different. -

As has kyrie -

I think kyrie was held out a lot because the cavs weren't winning anything and they didn't want him to have something linger. If the cavs were in contention he plays a good 90 percent of the games -

Because of a toe?gport_tennis;1209694 wrote:As has kyrie
And this past season he was held out because of a concussion... Then the Cavs sat him quite a few games with an "injury" and listed him as "tanking"
So, a freak toe injury and a concussion don't make you injury prone.
Rose couldn't stay healthy at all... Back spasms, hurt leg, etc... Then comes back and tears an ACL. -

And with Rose, the back spasms are the thing I'd be most concerned with, especially at that age. You can fix a knee but once you start having back issues you're generally fucked. They might try to fix that but it seems like they never get it right and it lingers forever.hoops23;1209754 wrote:Because of a toe?

KR1245"After calling some sources with lottery picks Saturday, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Charlotte Bobcats and Cleveland Cavaliers swap draft picks in Thursday's draft. In that sort of a deal, the Bobcats would pick fourth and 24th and the Cavs would move up to No. 2.
It sounds like the Cavs really want Beal but are worried that the Wizards take him at 3
I dont want to use #24 to move up 2 spots. I would rather take MKG at 4 and use #24 plus our 2nd rounders to move back up into the early-mid teens -
Commander of AwesomeI'm pretty scared of MKG, I think we need someone more offensively polished. I honestly don't get the top 3 pick talk for him.

Isn't there a good chance MKG or Beal wont be there at 4?KR1245;1210150 wrote:It sounds like the Cavs really want Beal but are worried that the Wizards take him at 3

I haven't watched a whole lot of Kentucky, but what I watched of MKG, I liked. Now I know people talk about his horrible shooting percentage (25% jump shooting, 20% 3pt or whatever it is). But he has a high motor, is a slasher, and scores a lot of his points in the paint.Commander of Awesome;1210152 wrote:I'm pretty scared of MKG, I think we need someone more offensively polished. I may be off base, but he sounds like you might be able to compare his playing style to Dwayne Wade. -
FootwedgeI agree with Pick6 on Kidd Gilchrest. But.....20% is gawd awful from outside. I don't think anyone is a shoe in for star status in this year's draft....except for the number one guy from Kentucky. Every touted player has a glowing hole in his arsenal.

GOONx19I don't know where the 20% came from. He shot 26% from 3. I guess that'd be about 20% from the NBA line, though. I think he's very similar to a Ron Artest type, without any of the head problems. And a better finisher in the paint. Not saying that is/isn't worthy of a top 3 pick, but if he works on his jumper he'll be there.

If the kid gets into the gym with a professional shooting coach I see no reason to think he cant improve his jumper. He's never going to be Ray Allen but I think he can be a solid jump shooter.
I would rather see the Cavs stay put at #4 and pick who's left of Beal and MKG, might even throw Barnes into there as well. I would try to use #24 and a 2nd round pick(s) to move up and grab another pick in the mid teens -
sleeperI think MKG is a better fit for what the Cavs need but Beal is the real deal. For real.

I'd have no problem with Beal. It sounds like he has been rising on most teams draft boards, I think the Cavs might have to make a move it they want to get him because I dont see him getting past the Wizards at 3sleeper;1210555 wrote:I think MKG is a better fit for what the Cavs need but Beal is the real deal. RotinajI haven't been paying much attention lately to draft talk and such. I've read a couple posts about moving back up in the lottery. Is this just high hopes or an actual possibility??

There are a bunch of rumors floating out there right now, who knows what to think. I found this on the GSW rumorsPick6;1210597 wrote:Is there some rumor about Golden State trying to get rid of their pick?
Trade talks among the teams in the top-10 seems to be heating up. The Cavaliers have approached Charlotte, New Orleans, and Golden State about acquiring their lottery picks. While it is common for teams to talk and gauge interest about potential deals the Cavs have been more aggressive. Sources say the Cavs have expressed the willingness to absorb salary in addition to trading the 24th pick. A potential stumbling block with New Orleans is the Hornets insistence thus far to have Trevor Ariza and Emeka Okafor included in a deal for the 10th pick. According to one league executive the Cavs could get a deal done with the Warriors if they trade Anderson Varejao and 24 but that the Cavs are unwilling to pull the trigger on that deal right now. -

He does everything else well but shoot....tough call. I would be ok with him....I am really scared that they will take Drummond -
Mulva
That would be a hell of a draft for Portland. They're a team that can afford to gamble on Drummond.Commander of Awesome;1210638 wrote:http://basketball.realgm.com/article/221630/2012_NBA_Mock_Draft_Version_30 -

hoops23If we draft MKG and then grab a knockdown shooter at 24, I think I'd be happy with that.
I love MKG's work ethic and athleticism, but at the same time, I'm worried about him creating for himself and his ability to knockdown shots.
He's tenacious rebounding the ball and is terrific in the open court however.
