Peyton Manning

I disagree. Romo has made bonehead mistakes one after another. Yes their D did not play great this year, but they are a very capable group. Not to mention I think Jerry renewed his Viagra prescription as soon as he heard this news so his wood would shine again!

They may have issues elsewhere, but Manning is that much better than Romo...and Im a huge Tony Romo fan. They would be SERIOUS contenders if Peyton was healthy. Better WRs than he ever had in Indy would mean ungodly numbers. O-Line and run game is about the same, though with Manning, Murray and Jones may be better than Edge was. I thought Edge was extremely good, but the stretch play was a HUGE part of that, and that play itself which is now a staple in the NFL was designed by Manning to help Edge get the ball already on the run to the outside.

Defense wasnt good, and Manning had some decent defenses. But as far as actual playmakers go, never like what Dallas has.

I feel that romo takes a lot of flack for a small percentage of plays. Fact of the matter is he fucked up clutch situations early on, but people have that engrained in their minds. He's improved a lot on those moments.

the first giants game and lions game he made some bad throws, but 66% 4000+ and only 10 ints is solid.

Definitely can't argue about his numbers with you. But I can argue that the Cowboys would be a better with Manning than Romo. It's all hypothetical anyway. No matter what team he ends up with, that team is better with him and I think we can agree on that.

I get that, but Peyton is a top 5 QB of all time. Romo isnt close to that. He is really good, Peyton is historic good.

I mean seriously..if peyton is healthy, what team would not make the playoffs with him as their qb?

I'm in no way saying romo could even hold peyton jock. I'm just saying that he isn't going be the key for dallas. I figure with the money needed that would take away from oline (bc peyton isnt as mobile as romo) and defense.

I think they could get a lot if they traded Romo. Lots of teams would be lining up for him. Could possibly get defense/oline help from that alone or the picks youd get.

    Prove it.

indy may not make the playoffs w peyton...if they lose r. wayne, mathis, garcon and saturday is hinting at retiring....if they have 50 mill wrapped up in two qb's they wont be able to sign much else. then what happens if you come out and lose a couple games?? how long till they start calling for luck to start?

if you look at the odds they say that luck wont be a great qb...they dont come along that often. i guess we'll see.

Tampa Bay would easily make the playoff with Peyton.

    There are none.

I doubt the Browns would. He would make them better, but not sure if they win that division. Then relying on the WC is a toss up. Lots of losses within the division.

He would easily be the best QB in the division. That, coupled with the Browns defense, would be enough for them to make the playoffs.

How much better of a center is Alex Mack over Saturday? Jeff Saturday is getting up in age. Like said, he'll probably retire if PM is gone from Indy.

Mack at this point is better, but probably not in the system that Peyton runs. Saturday makes a lot of the blitz pick-up calls and even makes some hot reads. Mack probably couldnt be at that level for a few years with Peyton.
