Peyton Manning

He's not there yet. He's having a good year, yeah...but there's still A LOT left to call him an actual "NFL QB."2kool4skool;1007381 wrote:Yeah, forgot about him. But a good example of how badly people can be off, especially about quarterbacks. I remember the consensus among most experts/fans(myself included) was that he was a terrible reach at #1 and wasn't an NFL type QB at all. -
Thinthickbigreda 3rd choice is needed . Who cares
-
SonofanumpSounds like Peyton expects not to be resigned and becomes a FA.

wghfanArizona Cardinals

Would be crazy...
Cardinals, dolphins?....
Thoughts? -
SonofanumpI'd say Arizona or Minnesota (if AP is healthy), he is a FA so it is his choice. Miami or Washington migh throw more jack at him, but I'd say he wants to play for a team that could turn it around very quickly.

Laley23Ill stand behind my projection of New York if the Colts let him go.

I feel Peyton likes a nice warm place to play. So, either a dome team or warm weather city.Laley23;1064357 wrote:Ill stand behind my projection of New York if the Colts let him go. -

I also think he wants to go somewhere and compete for a SB next year. NYJ are a QB away. Miami and Arizona, imo, are not. Especially the Dolphins.wghfan;1064377 wrote:I feel Peyton likes a nice warm place to play. So, either a dome team or warm weather city. -
Skyhook79Tennesee Titans book it...not really but it does make some sense.

NY is in no way that close. Their coach is why. Not that he won't go ther -

Good QB play, if Manning can provide it, gets that team 12+ wins next season, imo.j_crazy;1064404 wrote:NY is in no way that close. Their coach is why. Not that he won't go ther -
DeyDurkie5a healthy manning gets any team in the league to the playoffs.
-
2kool4skoolI would love to see him go to New York and absolutely stick it to the Colts.
Taking Andrew Luck instead of resigning Manning and getting 3 first rounders and a couple 2nd rounders for the #1 pick will end up going down as an all-time bad front office decision if they do it. -
justincredibleThe Jets with a healthy Manning. Six to midnight.

If somehow the Colts win a game and the Rams don't, then that pick, for the Rams franchise, would be worth, roughly worth, three (first-round picks) and two (second-rounders), maybe four first-round picks. And so there's a huge amount at stake if somehow the Colts -- who will continue to try to win games -- win another game, the Rams lose their two games and somehow come up with that pick. -
landshark0731If Manning is cut ,You can never rule out Jerry Jones and the Cowboys.

no way. i don't think you'd ever actually see that though.2kool4skool;1064587 wrote:http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writers/peter_king/12/25/week.16/1.html
then again, look what carson palmer went for. makes no sense. -
Sonofanump
I saw somewhere that they are like 5th best odds to sign him.landshark0731;1064686 wrote:If Manning is cut ,You can never rule out Jerry Jones and the Cowboys. -
Laley23Boys would be the team I think would get him after the Jets.
-
hasbeenThe cowboys biggest concern is on defense and the oline. Spending money on manning wouldn't be smart.

are you serious?pnhasbeen;1064725 wrote:The cowboys biggest concern is on defense and the oline. Spending money on manning wouldn't be smart. -

yes, clark. That's what I believe. -

if the colts can get to the playoffs and win a super bowl with peyton manning, the cowboys could win the super bowl every year for as long as peyton is healthy. that is what i believe.pnhasbeen;1064731 wrote:yes, clark. That's what I believe.
