Week 14: Cleveland Browns (4-8) at Pittsburgh Steelers (9-3) - Thursday night

DB's jumped routes on McCoy a few times against Baltimore. Luckily for the Browns they had brick hands.

Don't get me started. This "gotta throw on 2nd & 3 after Hillis busts off a 7 yarder" is bullshit. They are NOT equipped to run the WCO as currently assembled.

Will be front and center for this one. Brother got us free tickets.....50 yard line....24 rows from the field..and I THINK a gold parking pass.
    Should be a blast.

On a side note...this very well could end my marriage. The cost I have is almost nothing........free tickets, free place to stay, free parking..I dont drink at the games because they are stupid insane....after pitching in 10 bucks for gas and my brother's wife cooking us up some good pregame vittles it will be the cheapest trip ever to a game for me.

The Steelers must keep Steeler killer, Josh Cribbs in check. He's hurt Pittsburgh bad in the past.

you have nothing to worry about, the Cribbs of old is gone.

I heard this last year and he didn't do a thing. Cribbs has lost his mojo anyway.

I'd still kick away from him. Browns offense hasn't shown much.

I'd rather force them to try and drive the ball against the Steelers defense than allow seven points on a return.

good, now you can stop posting about it.

but cribbs isn't the old cribbs, but he's still capable of hurting the steelers on a return.

    Gameday already. Sweet.

When the Browns came to Houston, I thought that Cribbs was the only Brown in the building that wanted to compete. I saw the coaches, players on the bench...their body language was of defeat. I think Cribbs still can be a factor.

I think this is pretty easy money tonight in terms of the Steelers not covering the spread.

They looked great last week. An all-around good performance. However, they play like that maybe once every 10 games. Normally they shoot themselves in the foot and allow inferior opponents to hang around.

    Close one. Real close.

    Steelers 20
    Browns 19

i love how non tries to reverse jinx teh steelers like it somehow matters. the browns are going to get raped, plain and simple. dont be such a pussy.

This is FACT. Shurmur might have the talent on this roster to keep the Browns in it but his coaching "skills" will ensure a beatdown.

I would like ot think the Steelers can continue the momentum that started last week against the bengals. Given that it is a home game, and nationally televised gives me some hope they will. However, I have seen enough of those "just good enough to win" performances by this team to know better than to get me confidence too high.

Here's what really sucks, and I would love an answer......my daughter is in middle school, and her Christmas Chior Concert starts tonight at 8:00...who the fuck starts a school event so late?

Thank God I have that NFL app on my phone wich shows the Thursday night games live and for free. Here's to hoping I can pick up a Wi-Fi signal at the concert.

I think it will be closer than most expect. I'm not sure of a score though.

The brown's D line concerns me, I have seen some plays where I am not sure if the Steelers can contain them on the rush. I have only seen parts of Cleveland games, and know what I see and hear about them, so I am not really sure what to expect other than a nice solid pass rush. I heard Hillis is probable, I don't know if it is a game time decision.

Sheard is the one to watch for on the Browns D-Line. Leads the team in sacks and is consistently in the backfield. If your RT is weak (i.e. slow), Sheard will blow right by him.

Sounds like Sheard is in for a big night.

He has 3 sacks in the last 3 games and is tied for the NFL lead in forced fumbles. These are usually from swatting the ball out of the QB's hands.

Him and Rubin have been fun to watch, both play like their hair is one fire. Too bad it doesn't trickle down.

If they get an impact RDE and some good LB's this offseason their defense will be legit. The lack of impact/talent at LB is killing them in stopping the run.

Marcus Gilbert is a rookie at right tackle. He's improved from the start of the year.

Actually, the offensive line overall has improved. Ramon Foster was playing really well at RG but he got banged up last week. Not sure his status.

They'll give up sacks. They always do. But the running game seems to be coming on a little.

Ok, I just looked it up.

    Ramon Foster in.

    Woodley and Emmanuel Sanders out.
