If Vontaze is on the board, I don't see how you pass him up.

Not necessarily. You would THINK they would but if Heckert sees that impact linebacker, he may jump on that.

I'd be more concerned as to whether he's finally going to pull the trigger on some useful free agents than whether he'll go offense or defense. This team could've been more competitive, offensively, had Heckert grabbed a few FA's of worth.

that be a good pick have him right next to jackson. then go offense with other other two picks. they have to do something in free agency this year. it is a must

    This.

He didn't even try, which leads me to believe the FO had no intentions of winning this year, and completely evaluating everything they have.

Browns need an impact WR and QB. Those should be their first picks

He also may have wanted to stockpile compensatory picks to use as ammo to move up for certain players in the coming draft. Net, net, net, I think they could have anywhere from 3-5 compensatory picks which would give them 11-13 draft picks in 2012.

I think they do. They have a lot of money to spend.

Maybe we can sign Carl Nicks from the Saints. #PipeDream

    man oh man....that was brutal.

The thing is that even the most diehard Browns fans I know are turning on this team. How long can one continue to support a poor product?
This isn't Cincinnati....Browns fans are not frontrunners.

Also lol at most "diehard fans" you know. I highly doubt this. Mentally weak pussies hang out with other mentally weak pussies. If they were diehards, they sure as hell wouldn't be quitting on the team.
    +1...and reps

No shit. "Front"runner would imply that the Browns have been in "front." We ALL know that's not the case. :(

WHere is the wr from Ok St projected?...I am assuming he will be eligible for the draft

they have to go offense don't they?
There are enough holes on both sides of the ball that I think you take the best player regardless of position.

With Oklahoma's Broyles getting a knee injury yesterday.....do you see him falling to the second round?

You could potentially draft Jones in round 1 with one of your picks, then his favorite receiver in the 2nd round.....Meanwhile able to address OL, LB DB with that other 1st round pick.

I said that earlier today. If he drops, take a chance on him. But stay away from Jones. He has bust written all over him.

Heckert will stay true to his BPA approach. When you start drafting for need, that's where you get into trouble by reaching.

Definitely take Broyles in the 2nd rd, but taking Jones in the first round would be a waste of a first round pick.

Blackmon? Top 10 pick. I'd expect top 5. The Rams and Jags both desperately need receivers, but they also both need corners and tackles.

What's the over/under on injured players this week?
  • hoops23
Justin Blackmon and Alshon Jeffery would be 2 WR's that I'd take in the first round...

Other guys like Michael Floyd and Ryan Broyles and Dwight Jones could be had in the 2nd...

Floyd probably goes late first though.

Browns also need another legit CB. Brown just isn't good anymore. Brown would make a good 3rd/4th option though.

We also need another legit LB to go next to D'Qwell Jackson.

Honestly, we need a lot LOL

Do you take him there if you are sitting at number 3 or 4?

Maybe the Browns will get another team to trade their whole draft to them again lol.

    I'd take Kalil that high.

    I would.

Imagine Blackmon/Jeffery with Little on the other side.

    MoMass moves to slot.

You get a good QB and that Receiving core can do some damage.

The defense is average, but an average defense can still be competent enough in the NFL. The Browns offense has done the defense no favors either. The inability to sustain drives and move the ball only hurts us.

I'd like to see the Browns use their first pick on Blackmon or Jeffery, given they're available. Then use their second pick on defense.

If, for some reason, the top two WR's aren't available, then I'd flip it and go defense first, then grab a guy like Floyd.
