Cleveland Indians Hot Stove---2011-2012

HitsRusReally, I'm more than happy to have Zeke play should Grady go down rather than Mike Cameron.
That said, I realize that all teams make these little moves to fill roster spots across the organization....I just don't see an upside to investing time money and space to Mike Cameron. -
OQBAntonetti on All Bets Are Off today saying the Indians have multiple trade proposals out there and waiting to hear back from other teams.
No specifics though. -

Large contract in exchange for a secret santa gift, most likely. -

HereticHoly shit! You poor fucks signed Andy LaRoche to compete for a utility infield spot. I fondly remember how, when he was with the Pirates, he transformed from a good fielder who could hit a little (not really near where you'd expect or hope a third baseman to be producing, but could hit A LITTLE) to a guy who couldn't do anything right.
Just one of hundreds of fond "Baseball Wit' Da 'Rates" memories that team has given me over the years. Ahhh...nostalgia! -

gotta love how these two pitiful organizations just pretty much exchange players...lolHeretic;1023266 wrote:Holy shit! You poor fucks signed Andy LaRoche to compete for a utility infield spot. Laley23Welp, we are after Carlos Beltran. Per Buster Olney.

Just another case of where they offer about 50% of what he signs for elsewhere, and then the front office claims "but we tried!"Laley23;1023592 wrote:Welp, we are after Carlos Beltran. Per Buster Olney. -

With the other "finalists" being Boston, Tampa, Toronto & St Louis, I'm not holding my breath.Laley23;1023592 wrote:Welp, we are after Carlos Beltran. Per Buster Olney. -

For once I would love to see them make an offer he can't refuse. But reality says I'm dreaming.Laley23;1023592 wrote:Welp, we are after Carlos Beltran. Per Buster Olney. -
HitsRusI predict another 'second place' finish in the bidding.....

After reading this, I noticed that Pittsburgh signed Anderson Hernandez to a minor league contract. While not a long-time Indian, he did play for them briefly (22 games) in 2010, so that trend is kinda continuing...FMLwes_mantooth;1023269 wrote:gotta love how these two pitiful organizations just pretty much exchange players...lol
The best is that Josh Rodriguez kid. Pittsburgh signed him from Cleveland in last year's Rule 5 draft. And then offered him back to Cleveland because they didn't have room for him in the big leagues. And then reacquired him in some nothing trade...to be a minor league journeyman bouncing between AA and AAA. Just sad... -
OQBLULZ!!!!
Beltran agrees to deal with Cardinals.

hoops23According to reports, the Tribe made a legit offer.
Obviously, St Louis was a better destination, especially with their current team. -
IggyPride002 years $26 million is actually somewhat reasonable for Beltran if he can stay somewhat healthy. That was way too rich for the Tribe's blood as long as Hafner is hoovering up $13 million to hit 13 homers and drive in 57 runs.

Azubuike24Beltran on only a 2-year deal is very little risk. Great signing IMO. He doesn't replace Pujols, nor does Aramis Ramirez replace Prince, but both St. Louis and Milwaukee aren't going to be patsies next year. Both should have even stronger pitching, especially St. Louis with a bullpen that really figured it out in the 2nd half of the season and Adam Wainwright back. Milwaukee's offense is still in major trouble if Braun is gone.
-
grodtPerhaps Beltran signing for 2 years could make Allen Craig available.
-
HitsRussecond place again.
Wouldn't mind Allen Craig at all. -
HitsRusTRIBE INKS RIGHTY TEJADA !
.

.
.ugh....that's Robinson Tejada...Right handed relief pitcher to a minor league contract.
The 'search' for a RH bat continues.... -

Tribe attendance may take a hit as Grady gets engaged to ex-playmate. -

Do you have a PS3/360? I got the MLB.tv package that allowed me to stream through my PS3. For the whole year I think it was around $150 and you got every teams game except for the one for which you are in their TV market.ohiobucks1;1040009 wrote:Hey guys, does anybody know of any websites that stream indians games everynight?
