BRFWTG Duncan! I, for one, am glad to have Sizemore back.
-
Laley23I dont EXPECT anything from Sizemore (or Hafner when he returns). But the two of them COULD get hot for the final month, and that would be huge. Lets put it this way, we arent going anywhere with the young kids leading us for 25 games. We arent going anywhere, and are probably worse off with Sizemore and Pronk going the way they are. But we CAN go somewhere with one or both of them getting hot for us. So I guess, at this point Im happy. If we are tied for first, maybe a different thought process.

BRFGD it! Now we see if we have any mustard left.

MulvaHaven't checked in on this thread in a couple of days, wanted to address the Carrera topic.
That is the worst thing defensively. Bad positioning and bad routes to balls.dazedconfused;881177 wrote:the only thing i don't like about zeke is his "no homers" defense late in games when he essentially plays on the warning track
And I'd definitely rather take Grady at the plate, even with his strikeouts. Zeke has a .314 OBP and 7 extra base hits in 145 at bats. It's nice that he makes contact, but it's pretty irrelevant when he can't even clear the infield.
He's a .250 hitter with no power who struggles on the basepaths and frequently looks lost defensively. I'd say that's what's so bad about him personally. What part of that would anybody want in their everyday lineup? -

Nevermind the fact that Zeke is a rookie. SMHMulva;884110 wrote:Haven't checked in on this thread in a couple of days, wanted to address the Carrera topic.

1-2-3 9th, who expected anything more? Surely I didn't. -

I don't understand how that is relevant to what is so bad about him right now, on a team that was fighting to stay in the playoff hunt. I don't care if he might be a good fielder and base runner in 3 years. There's no reason anybody should want him out there over Grady at this point in time.hoops23;884116 wrote:Nevermind the fact that Zeke is a rookie. SMH -

I misunderstood your point then. I thought you were talking about Zeke overall going forward in the future as well.Mulva;884131 wrote:I don't understand how that is relevant to what is so bad about him right now, on a team that was fighting to stay in the playoff hunt. Niner. Was originally talking about getting Grady back right now. Nothing about the future. Grady has no future with this team, unfortunately.hoops23;884146 wrote:I misunderstood your point then. I thought you were talking about Zeke overall going forward in the future as well.
