To clarify, I'm not saying he can play quarterback in the pros. I'm just saying that people are wrong when they assume he can just step into another position because he's a great athlete. There are far more great athletes out there than NFL roster spots.

I agree completely, I just believe a person with his physical tools is an exception, much like LeBron.

his workout numbers are better than Cams..just sayin

Looking at the world as a whole, yes. Looking at it from an NFL training camp perspective, not so much.

TP could be the next Antonio Gates...he never had any college football experience, just basketball and he is pretty much the best TE in the league.

It could happen, but those kinds of stories are stories because they're so rare. Smart money says he surprises most experts and becomes an NFL quarterback or he goes on to whatever his life's work will be.

Yeah I edited my post once I saw that. He's wrong too.

Well to be fair, I did say "something like" 17 of 29. I was going off something I read quickly the day before without looking it up and was off by 10 on both attempts and completions. Again I apologize to you and TPeezy and his family for my Roger Clemens moment. 27 of 39 against air is still not good, and the NFL scouts that were there said he had horrible accuracy.

If Matt Jones can go from college QB to NFL WR and be alright from the get go then I think TP can too. The difference is, Matt Jones accepted the change and worked at it and I don't see TP doing the same since he's so confident he can be an NFL QB.

Take it fwiw, but he did say he would prefer to play QB but would be willing to change positions to help a team.

  • karen lotz
    Yeah started at 1.

    AdamSchefter Adam Schefter
No first-round picks in supplemental draft.

    Pryor to Oakland in 3rd.
  • karen lotz
Raiders take Pryor in the 3rd round. LOL
  • Terry_Tate
    LOL, Da Raiders!
  • Mark Mack
Do they not have to give up their 3rd round in next year's draft?

They must see something pretty good to take him in the 3rd.
  • Midstate01
I actually feel bad for Pryor. Nobody should have to play for that shithole of an organization. Could be worse though, could have been a Bengal.
  • voewoody
Couldn't have picked a better destination for TP!!!!

They do have to give up their 3rd round pick in 2012.

Looks like SOMEBODY thinks old TP is a QB....LOL
  • Mark Mack
Oakland is now without their 3rd and 4th round picks next year. The 4th was involved in the Jason Campbell deal.
  • grodt
Or their 2nd rounder (Taiwan Jones)
