    If you like passing.
On pace for a lil under 900 yards passing and probably 1000 total yards lol

Ryan has already chucked it 42 times.

    Both QBs around 220 yards.

Tomlin just said that it appears that Pouncey just reaggravated an old ankle injury and should be fine. Kept out after that as a precaution. They're running tests on Keenan Lewis now to determine the extent of the knee injury.

How did Lewis play before that?

Pretty good actually. He got hurt breaking up a pass in the endzone.

    What about Butler? Warren?

Where are they getting all of the passing yards?

Dink and dunk pretty much. Haven't seen them yet.

Hampton having his right arm tended to on the sideline.

With Brown and Wallace as downfield threats and then Cotchery and Ward and Miller as possession targets, Ben should have a huge year.

I know the offensive line has to give him time but you still have players you can check down to, Mendenhall and Moore, when they're in the game. Not even including Sanders who is a mixture of both speed and possession.

This might be the best offensive skill group in awhile.

Agreed. The offense should be top notch this season. We know the the defense will pretty damn good as usual.

    Ouch. Forget trading Dixon now.

    Pontiac gamechanger. Wow.

    He needed that, too.

Elbow for Hampton. Not sure the extent. Leftwich headed to the hospital. Not good.

Dixon sounds like he locked himself up a roster spot.

    34-16 Final

Another very good effort by the Steelers after a lackluster performance vs. the Redskins to open the preseason.

Broken arm for Leftwich per Tomlin. Miguel Chavis has a torn pec. The rest of the injuries were minimal according to coach.

Game is replayed at 4 p.m. tomorrow on NFL Network

Good news that Hampton is not hurt bad.

Tough break for Byron. Steelers have some QB depth but as we witnessed last year, they might all be called upon to play at some point. I think they were about to trade Dixon but won't now.

Definitely seems like Tomlin changed the tempo after that Washington game.

They have some issues, as most teams do, but overall they're probably feeling confident about how the preseason has gone.

The tough part is that the first game is against Baltimore so it's a game that can go either way. They can go into the season ready and play well but then still start 0-1.

    Steelers cut:

    tight end Vaughn Charlton
    cornerback Kevin Dockery
    wide receiver Eric Greenwood
    wide receiver Kenneth Moore
    tight end Miguel Chavis

Baron Batch was placed on IR. They still need to cut four more by Tuesday.

Leftwich may not miss the whole season, but it's not known how long he'll be out so that probably means he won't be put in the IR for now--which just takes up another roster space.

According to the PG, Batch will be the #2 QB and Dixon the #3.

    No. 3 tight end (50)
    Tony Hills (51)

That doesn't seem right because I think they'll keep both Lewis and Butler.

Maybe I'm wrong in considering Will Allen a lock. They could use one of the cornerbacks as an emergency safety and then cut Allen.

Looks like both Chris Scott and Keith Williams will be gone.
