Houston is going to have to trade to get Ching back... it was actually kinda smartOSH;988210 wrote:They are stupid! They didn't draft Freddy but drafted Brian Ching?! Ching is 31 years old. He's definitely past his "prime." He stated that he would retire if he was drafted and then join the front-office of Houston. How can they think that Ching has that much upside to waste a pick on?!
I am not too disappointed with losing Josh Gardener in the draft. I am not overly impressed with Montreal's draft. -

They won't trade. He'll retire. He should retire.ohiobucks1;988221 wrote:Houston is going to have to trade to get Ching back... it was actually kinda smart
He's going to retire THEN just go work for Houston. So basically Montreal wasted a pick. -

Rumor is theyre giving up a solid Central Defender for him...we'll seeOSH;988256 wrote:They won't trade. He'll retire. He should retire.

Why wouldn't they have just protected him instead of the central defender then?ohiobucks1;988258 wrote:Rumor is theyre giving up a solid Central Defender for him...we'll see
Also, lol @ Brian Ching still being pissed about being "snubbed" for the 2010 WC. You're Brian Ching. Get over it. -

There was an article about it on Fox Soccer. Basically they said Montreal called Houstons bluffMulva;988259 wrote:Why wouldn't they have just protected him instead of the central defender then?

I will check out the article later.ohiobucks1;988262 wrote:There was an article about it on Fox Soccer. Basically they said Montreal called Houstons bluff
If that's true...they are stupid. Just worry about your own team. Ching should be done. He doesn't do much. He is a poor man's Brian McBride...well, maybe I should say a poor man's Conor Casey (Casey and Ching both are terrible and deserve to stay off the USMNT). At 31 years old, Ching doesn't need to play these "mind games" with Houston or Montreal. I think Houston may have played Montreal's bluff...let Ching "threat retirement" so that Montreal blows a pick on him...which they did. I think he was contemplating retirement beforehand.
Oh...started my 7th or 8th season on FIFA12 earlier this week. Loving the game. -
OSHThe Red Devils get a controversial draw with Newcastle United yesterday 1-1.
They get a little help with Liverpool drawing City 1-1 today. Phew!
A little bit of tragedy this morning...Gary Speed, manager of Wales, took his own life (reportedly) at the age of 42 leaving behind a wife and 2 children. -
OSHWell...Akron loses yesterday 1-0 to UNC Charlotte. Bummer. I would've liked to see them repeat -- which was a tall task since they had a whole new team this year.

OSHNew Crew jersey's were just released!

OSHDrogba has supposedly turned down a contract extension with Chelsea. He supposedly also is linked to (or has turned down) a move to AC Milan.
Reports have the MLS Champs LA Galaxy on taps as wooing him... -

Sucks they always go to LA or NY. But it would be amazing to get a star that big in his prime. I think Beckham was wonderful, but he was a bit past his prime. People thought he sucked cause he didnt score, but he isnt a scorer. Henry was very good this year, but Drogba would be amazing.OSH;992548 wrote:Drogba has supposedly turned down a contract extension with Chelsea. OSHCrew part ways with Andres Mendoza and Jeff Cunningham.
Also not being brought back: Alex Riggs, Kevin Burns, Santiago Prim, Dejan Rusmir, and Ben Sippola.
Offers have been made to Robbie Rodgers and Emmanuel Ekpo...just waiting on them. Probably be waiting a bit, I imagine they will both make a move overseas. -
Midstate01Burns is going to Germany, right?

Midstate01“@AdamJardy: Kevin Burns will head to Germany this January and continue his career there. Hasn't officially signed with anyone just yet. #crew96 #mls”
Says he had a player option and declined it -
OSHGood luck to him then.

OSHPotentially two more friendlies have been scheduled for the USMNT...just waiting on official word.
January 21 against Venezuela -- no location yet, but it is a home game.

ohiobucks1The Crew need A CM, CB, and Striker.
Hope we focus on CM first though -
AutomatikBalotelli is an absolute tool. I'm bet sharing a lockeroom with him is a joy.
"He then, modestly went on to announce that he is a better player at his age than Fabregas, Rooney and Van der Vaart were, only accepting that a certain Lionel Messi was ahead of him."
lol...delusional. -
