sportchamppsYour right brazil is the only team to win in the opposite hemisphere. East/west ( I forgot about them ) I've heard a lot of players make the argument that this is because of the playing surfaces and the difference in grasses changing the speed of the game. I know when I played in Europe the grass was thicker and slowed the ball down some. Just something to think about for next year.

16.15 BST: Steve Clarke used to coach at Chelsea. Nicolas Anelka used to play for Chelsea. Anelka’s short-term deal with Juventus in Serie A is finished and will, it is reported, not be renewed.
So there are a few suggestions that Anelka could be breezing into The Hawthorns over the summer to come and play for Clarke’s West Bromwich Albion as they look for a replacement for Romelu Lukaku, back at Chelsea after his blistering loan spell with the Baggies last season. We’ll see.
15.55 BST - DONE DEAL: Midfielder Luke Murphy is steaming out of Crewe, disappearing down the tracks to join Leeds United on a three-year contract. 13.05 BST: The Birmingham Mail is reporting that Birmingham City winger Nathan Redmond will opt to link up with his former St Andrews manager Chris Hughton at Norwich City.
The paper says the England Under-21 winger will move to Carrow Road in a deal that could potentially reach £3.2 million. Both the Canaries and Swansea were reported to have agreed a fee with the Blues for the 19-year-old.
13.00 BST: Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has said the club have held negotiations and agreed terms with Swansea over the potential sale of striker Bafetimbi Gomis. Gomis has reportedly turned down potential moves from the club - who need a cash boost - leaving Aulas to express his frustration. Maybe this time, though?

09.30 BST - DONE DEAL: Championship play-off finalists Watford have signed 18-year-old striker Uche Ikpeazu, who scored 28 goals in 28 games for Reading's Under-18s, on a three-year contract.
"At 18 he is still young, but he's a very bright prospect and we're looking forward to seeing him progress under Gianfranco Zola," Watford technical director Gianluca Nani told the club’s official website.

However, there could be some good news for manager Lee Clark, who is reportedly close to signing centre-halves Kyle Bartley and Dan Burn in loan deals from Swansea City and Fulham respectively, according to the Sunday Mercury.
However, Clark is set to lose England Under-21 winger Nathan Redmond in the near future, with Norwich – managed by former Birmingham boss Chris Hughton – in the frame for his signature.
09.00 BST: Napoli striker Edinson Cavani, one of the most talked-about transfer targets of the summer so far, will discuss his future with the club once he has returned to Italy after taking a break following the Confederations Cup.
Cavani, Serie A’s top scorer last season with 29 goals, is attracting interest from top European clubs including Manchester City and Chelsea.
The 26-year-old Uruguay international, who scored a brace against Italy in the Confederations Cup’s third-place play-off on Sunday, said now was not the right time to discuss his future. That means club president Aurelio De Laurentiis, who reportedly wants €65 million for his star man, will just have to wait and see whether anyone comes forward with that sort of money.

07.00 BST: David Moyes' reign at Manchester United officially starts on Monday, and the former Everton boss is targeting Benfica's Ezeguiel Garay as one of his first signings.
The Daily Mirror says Moyes is a big admirer of the defender and has been given the go-ahead to table a £17 million bid. Benfica have reportedly lined up Garay's fellow Argentine Lisandro Ezequiel Lopez, of Arsenal de Sarandi, as a replacement.
The paper also says Moyes is continuing to pursue the signing of Leighton Baines, with whom he worked during his time at Everton.
Tottenham may have swooped in ahead of London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea for two Croatian wonderkids, according toThe Sun. Dinamo Zagreb pair Alen Halilovic and Tin Jedvaj are on the brink of a move to White Hart Lane, with Andre Villas-Boas believed to be close to wrapping up a £17 million deal for the pair. Halilovic, an attacking midfielder, and Jedvaj, a central defender, are both 17.
Manchester City could also miss out on one of their key transfer targets this summer, with Cardiff City reportedly set to steal in and sign Benfica's Oscar Cardozo.
City have been linked with Cardozo for some time, but the Daily Mail claims the 30-year-old could instead be bound for Wales, with the Bluebirds eager to pair new signing Andreas Cornelius with an experienced forward.
Cardozo's proposed move to Fenerbahce fell through, leaving the door open for a potential switch to the Premier League in the coming weeks. -
