James Harrison RIPS Goodell, Big Ben, Mendenhall

As I said in the Browns thread, Harrsion is just being the dumb piece of shit he is. Nothing new.

He ripped New England too for beating them and winning a super bowl that year. Dude just has a chip on his shoulder.

Pretty fucking weak ripping on his teammates. As much as I think Roethlisberger is "megadouche", it's not like Harrison (1 tackle?) turned in an MVP-like performance in that Super Bowl. Plus, he has no room to be calling out someone for steroids when he's "ragin" 24/7.

Being psycho doesn't mean he's on 'roids. And Cushing was on 'roids at one point. That we know.

Adam Schefter tweeted that Harrison told Merrill Hoge that many of his comments were twisted by the writer and that he did not criticize Ben. Schefter also reported that Hoge spoke to Ben after Harrison called Roethlisberger and that Ben is "taking Harrison at his word and their relationship is fine."

These little incidents (i.e. Roethlisburger, Mendenhall, Ward, Harrison, etc.) see to happen more frequently since Tomlin has taken over.

Maybe he HATES rapists, so that might be where the resentment toward rapistberger is coming from.

No, I think he's just dumb. After some of his recent outbursts I bet even Joey Porter is somewhere facepalming himself.

I'm glad to hear the second part. We all know how journalists like to twist things around to fit their agenda.

Like I said in the Pittsburgh thread, I agree with what he said about Goodell and everything else, but not bashing his teammates. Does that mean I would say those things about my commissioner? Hell no. But James Harrison will do and say what he wants, I'm just glad the crazy bastard is playing for my squad.

Well, Twitter wasn't around when Cowher was coach so that explains the Mendenhall thing. Honestly, I don't think any of it has shit to do with Tomlin. I think he handles things pretty well. Sadly, I think it's more of a reflection of the current climate of sports.

I'm going with Option 5: His brain had been hacked.

He must have the same PR team as Lebron.

That second part's great if it's true. I've just heard so many tales of athletes/celebs suddenly saying their Twitter account or whatever was "hacked" after something posted there caused controversy. And the way Harrison is, it's easy to see him venting like crazy and then realizing the next day that he shouldn't have said what he said.

Not that I'm expecting anything real to come out of this. It's not like he's the only guy on the team who's had to apologize or explain himself to the rest over the past couple years. Besides, a little hostility could always help the team out. Keep a fire lit under them.

Yeah, but Harrison has championship rings so he's ahead of the game.

Yep. A lot of stupid fucks out there. Saw an interview with Reggie Bush yesterday where he said that at the league meeting or rookie symposium (or something) they tell them "think long & hard before hitting 'send' on that Twitter account...because once it's sent, it's sent."

You know there are dudes in the league who get mudbutt when they think about getting hit by Harrison. I'm not a fan of everything he says....but I like his rep.

Herm Edwards. Saw some clips of that. Great stuff.

What a little girl. Just man up and admit what you said. Twisted words, lol. lolfail on Harrison.

I know it wouldn't go over well, but if I were a coach I would try my damnedest to ban players from tweeting. It causes wayyyy more bad then good.

I read a Euro soccer manager was prohibiting his players from tweeting. I can't think of who it was off the top of my head.

What's that say about the players who get knocked out by this "little girl"?

I think I might be "muddbutt", as you say, too if I saw him coming at me using his helmet as a spear (illegally) knowing he was likely only going to get a slap on the wrist for it.

Yeah. The rep is an 80 percent good/20 percent bad deal. He's a feared guy who definitely can intimidate offensive players. On the other hand, he'll randomly say things that will cause any sane fan to violently facepalm themselves (sometimes to the point of leaving an ugly red mark, like after the "not going to the White House because if we lost, we wouldn't have been invited" one).
