OK. Now is your chance to do some productive clean up work BP.

Why wouldn't Cozart start? ER rarely gets back to back starts, especially in the same series.

    Come on Scotty.

So sick. Rolen grounder to short or second here?

LOL 3rd. And it gets through.
  • dave
    haha good break there.

Rolen with a big pick-up of BP and Bruce - 4-0 Reds!

What does I92 usually say? These are major league baseball players, that is an error.
  • dave
should be an error, at least allowing the second runner to score.
  • se-alum
Greinke at 69 pitches thru 3.

If it is an error then there should be no RBIs and no earned runs. If it is a hit then two RBIs and no earned runs. I see no way it could be ruled 1 and 1.

Review the discussion earlier in the thread!

Stubbs missed played that ball SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad.
  • mhs95_06
Heisey fell down on the job!
  • se-alum
That ones for everyone that says Stubbs plays great defense....horrible f'n play.
  • dave
he's so bad at balls that aren't hit to his left or right.

Fly to CF. Compare where Bruce was to where Heisey was when that ball hit the wall!
  • wildcats20
I really don't get what he was doing. Yes it was hit over your head. Yes it almost got out. BUT NO YOU DO NOT RUN FULL ON TO THE WALL.
  • wildcats20
Thankfully, Stubbs misplay doesn't hurt them TOO bad.
  • mhs95_06
Good, conservative job by BP, making sure that ball off Fielder's bat doesn't get thru and is the last out.

That's why in CF you can afford to go for the catch more relying on your two corner outfielders to be there to mitigate the carom off the wall getting away from you. Heisey just went to sleep and was still way over in LF - seemed like he didn't even try to get closer to a possible play.

Biggio? Has someone done it since him? I remember seeing him at GABP that season.

In Heisey's defense, the ball was hit into right center field. Stubbs should've been in position to easily play the carom off the wall.

And Cozart is in for Edgar.
  • mhs95_06
Looks like Cozart in there at SS for the remainder of the series!
