Fly4FunThat's just superficial. What's disgusting to see is a guy motionless on the ground after a hit to the head. I love how some of the people who criticize Goodell for his policy on illegal hits and trying to take away some of the most horrific injuries in the game (head, neck or back injuries) are the ones squeamish about this superficial injury that really isn't that bad in comparison.
It's not all about appearance. -
karen lotzObviously its less severe and less career threatening than a head or neck injury. A lot of times head injuries don't look as bad and they are even replayed over and over again because they are usually the result of a huge hit. Legs snapping appear gruesome, especially when the bottom half of a leg is flopping around like a wet noodle.

Reps. I dont see how this is so hard to understand. We arent retarded. We all realize this isnt a big deal in the sense that his career or mind is fucked over etc. But it looks a lot worse that most of those injuries. I mean, fucking Mike Vick had a concussion on a play where he hit his own line-man and it looked like nothing. Of course no one is going to get disgusted over that. But when a guys foot is hanging and flopping around...karen lotz;921380 wrote:Obviously its less severe and less career threatening than a head or neck injury. thavoiceNFL has always been my favorite event to watch. No doubt.
But this year it is a little bit painful to watch.
The new rules that even more pussify the QB are rediculous. The stoppage to review so many TD's is pissing me off. I thought the old way was good enough. The more penalties for defenseless players is BS as well. There was one a little behind the play last night that was BS.
They are turning this game into a fluff match. -
bigdaddy2003Ravens just signed Brian McCann. I know his name but can't really recall how good he is. Can any Cowboys' fans help me out?

He is an alright cover guy and was good at returning punts/kickoffs. With all our problems at DB I'm surprised we cut him.bigdaddy2003;921846 wrote:Ravens just signed Brian McCann. I know his name but can't really recall how good he is. Can any Cowboys' fans help me out? -
gorocks99Favre speaks on Rodgers:

Kinda comes off douchey.I’m going to be honest, I was not surprised [about Rodgers' performance]. The biggest surprise to me would be that he didn’t do it sooner. It’s funny how people can get over time -- my last year in Green Bay prior to the first game -- I made the remark that this was probably the most talented team that I’ve ever played on. And of course everyone looked up and was like ‘this guy’s off his rocker.’
We were very, very young; take me out of the mix and we were by far the youngest team in the league. But I could see the talent pool across the board was outstanding. Now our season kind of ended up being a reflection of that. We came close, and I think we took a lot of people by surprise, but guys emerged rather quickly.
Aaron had a chance…even though the last couple years it’s seemed like he’s almost a rookie, he’s been around awhile. And I’d like to think that he watched, he learned, and then when he got a chance to play, he brought in his ability which is obviously very good or they wouldn’t have drafted him in the first round. He’s got tremendous talent, he’s very bright and he got a chance to watch and see successful teams do it right.
And so he just kind of fell into a good situation. On top of that, he’s a good player. I don’t think there’s any pressure on him now, the talent around him is even better than when I was there. So I’m really kind of surprised it took him so long. In the early part of last year season, it hadn’t quite clicked yet and I didn’t know it would. I just kind of figured when they hit their stride, they’re going to be hard to beat. And that’s what happened. -

Yeah, I see that he has been with the Cowboys twice and now he is on his second stint in Baltimore. I didn't even know they signed him last year. They cut him after a game. The Ravens' CBs have been playing decent so far so I assume it just for depth. Maybe he will return kicks.Iliketurtles;922065 wrote:He is an alright cover guy and was good at returning punts/kickoffs. With all our problems at DB I'm surprised we cut him. -

I agree, Favre comes off as a condescending prick. It was definitely full of back handed compliments. He says that of course he's winning, I did it with less talent so I'm better. He took too long, he's not really that good compared to me.gorocks99;922067 wrote:Favre speaks on Rodgers:

Favre would have just been better off saying that Rodgers is good and is fortunate to be part of the Packer organization as they do it right. -
wes_mantoothFuck Favre....I would take Rodgers over him even in his prime.

If Fox/Elway had stuck w/ 1st instincts, played Tebow, they'd be 3-1 w/ shot to beat SD. Now I'm wondering if just trying to win Luck Derby

I really want Denver to play Tebow, just to put all the talk to an end one way or another. -
wes_mantoothLol...i realize skip just says dumb shit to get attention, but he does this act too often.... no one takes him serious

Why shouldn't they play him? Orton is 6-20 as the starter since they started 6-0 in Josh McDaniels first year of coaching. He has 6 int's in 4 games this year and 2 fumbles. Any other QB not named Manning or Brady would be sat down.gorocks99;922125 wrote:I really want Denver to play Tebow, just to put all the talk to an end one way or another. -
