Did you see that though? He was pushing the 2 defensive linemen closest to the center right as the ball was being snapped.

How the fuck can you pick up a holding call? Why the fuck did you throw the flag.

Rex carrying the ball like a loaf of bread.

Pretty damn good play by Spencer.

Grossman is a retard, you have to feel that or at least be somewhat aware before you just take off and hold the ball out there like a loaf of bread like that.

Might be time to try Beck if you're a Redskin right now.

This is all Rex will ever be, so it is a waste of time trying to build around him when you know what you will always get.

Beck is awful, Rex has played pretty well so far this season.

Because it is illegal to line up there.

That's what I was thinking. I remember roughing the center calls in college games before, but it was usually on a punt. And I think it was explained that you can't line up directly over the center on kicks......

You also can't immediately hit the LS right? That would be quite unfair if you could.

It is a personal foul, 15 yards on the kickoff if the try is good. On a FG, it would give the offense an automatic first down.

Ok, then why is he trying to move them? If its illegal to line up there, wait until the ball is snapped and throw a flag. Or blow it dead before hand. It makes no sense for a referee to do that.

They usually push them away to try to tell them its illegal. Its a lot like when the WR asks if he is on the line of scrimmage. Ive seen this happen a lot.

It’s a philosophy called preventative officiating. Why wait for a problem to exist when you can stop it before it happens.

Do they tell a defensive lineman he is lined up offside? Or do they tell the quarterback that the offense is lined up in an illegal formation before they snap the ball?

way to over exaggerate as usual. obviously a ref isnt going to run up to the quarterback while he is in his cadence and stop the play and say "you are in an illegal formation"....come on. The line judge will tell the wideouts if they arent lined up right because they WRs are right there and the line judge doesnt have to move.

I wasn't talking about WRs you dolt.

oh! no way, really!? I think I know how to read.

Guess what, how the WRs are lined up directly correlates to being in a legal or illegal formation. Why would the ref run and tell the QB (LOL) when he can just tell the WR and fix it most of the time?
