Acta should have taken him out way earlier.
  • like_that
If we send him down, who do we bring up?
  • Crimson streak
I give my daughter a bath and then come back to this shit. Fausto needs to go

    Then see ya.

You cannot even blame the offense, he gives up too many runs and falls apart too often.
  • grodt
That's correct he's out of options. He either goes to the pen or is released. Not sure what I'd prefer at this point.

pretty much. They need to send him to the pen or send him packing...this is brutal.

Send him to the pen, can't just throw away a 27 year old pitcher like that, but once again who takes his spot if they do that?

Also, gotta love how Durbin gets the 3rd out in only 3 pitches. SMH.

Can't really blame Acta. Fausto was cruising until that walk then got the bad hop and it spiraled on him. Not sure when Acta would have taken him out before that.
  • JerseyBuck
The terrible Carmona strikes again. That inning was a disaster!

I would have taken him out as soon as the bases loaded or when the first run was scored, or when it was tied up. Acta has to know Carmona is a mental pussy at this point.

After the hop off of third I would have pulled him with Giambi up because you knew Giambi would jump on any mistake which Fausto is prone too when things go bad.

    Pitcher like what?

I'd bring back Jeanmar Gomez. Only had 1 bad outing against KC and pitched solid in his last outing. I've liked his stuff recently.

Could go with McAllister or Huff (if you wanted big league experience even though his has been rough).

A pitcher that has shown flashes that he can play well. It would bug the shit out of me if they let him go, then he ends up being an Ace. Imagine if the Tribe let go of Cliff Lee in 2007.

We're going on almost 3+ years of inconsistent pitching from a guy that we cannot afford to have inconsistent pitching from.

He is far from the talent of Lee.

And he is only 27. Lee was very bad in 2007 and I remember a lot of us were thinking "good riddance" when he was sent back to the minors.

Lee only had 1 bad season, Carmona has had multiple with little to no sign of progression.

    Choo is picking it up.

    7-6
  • devil1197
    Bases juiced after Santana single.
  • devil1197
Solid inning of response by the offense.

Let's hope the BP keeps it within the 1 run as the offense is playing well tonight.
  • Laley23
Hafner is so slow. I dont think many players score on that hit, but he barely made it to 3rd! lol

Doesn't have to be fast if he hits bombs like he did earlier tonight!

haha I know. I wasnt complaining. It is just funny.

Remember when we had Victor, Hafner, and Garko all running the bases. 3 of the 5 slowest guys in the bigs I think. Along with Konerko and someone Im not thinking of lol.
  • Laley23
Well what do you know? CarGo can make an out!
  • royal_k
You can't just release Carmona, and you can't risk sending him down. He won't clear waivers. Some team will jump on him, and I'm not ready to give up on his arm. He just has to get it mentally. If you take him out of the rotation, which I think they should, he has to go to the pen. Bring up Gomez or McAllister. They are both pitching well to say the least.
  • Laley23
If we are in the race when White gets healthy, annnnnnnd no more injuries to the rotation. I think you have a choice to have White in the rotation and Fausto in the 'pen. I say choice, because right now...management can easily say we dont have anyone else ML ready. That wont be a good enough excuse for the fans when White gets back.
