that's bs, both of these are great teams, great talent, great offense and even better defense

Do you think the likes of Buss, Cuban, Mickey, etc are thrilled they'd have to dissect their teams to get to that 45? I see a card cap on the future, but I still have a hard time seeing how they can get more than half the league under 45 next year or even in two. I haven't read jack on it, so excuse me if I'm ignorant to the tunis of how it would work

Neither of these are great teams. When you say great teams, I think of teams in the discussion for top 10 all time. Neither of these teams would have even won the championship in the past 10 years, not to mention not in the top 10 of all time.

Top 10 teams of all time? Those would be ELITE teams. Calling the Mavs and Heat not great teams is just dumb.

And how do you know this?

Neither of these teams could win a title in the last 10 years, that is a stupid statement.

They couldnt of beat the Pistons whose leading scorer was Rip Hamilton In 04. Come on. The Rip Hamilton who averaged 17 ppg.

I caught a little bit of PTI today, and Mike Wilbon said something that irked me. He was completely off. I'm paraphrasing, but it was something like this:

"Cleveland needs this [Mavs to win] more than Dallas does. This means everything to Cleveland and their fans. Basketball is the most important thing to them, it's more important than anything"

I like you Wilbon, but if you don't know that the Browns are the #1 team in Cleveland, I donno what to tell you...

Yeah, I like Wilbon, but he is reaching with this one. He is right that most Clevelanders want Lebron to fail, but it is NBA basketball....not the NFL.

I still think Miami will pull it out.

Exactly, Wilbon is way off base. Not only is his claim that a championship means less to a city than a disliked player not winning a championship, the Browns(even though they've had no where near the success of the Cavs in the past 10 years), will always be #1 in Cleveland.

Well I admit I haven't read all 65 pages of this thread, so if someone mentioned this before, sorry.

Did anyone see the finals pregame and promo stuff, where they show lots of players videos and pictures, but I noticed one of the shots showed james holding what looked like the championship trophy, but I don't recall seeing any pics with any Dallas players holding the same trophy. Did anyone else notice this? Is the NBA and tv a little prejudice towards the heat?

I could be wrong but I think they have shots of a few players from both teams. They did the same thing leading up to the Super Bowl.

DeShawn Stevenson still at it with this mornings tweet..."I told em Lebron is Overrated but did they listen? swag.”

I'm pretty sure they showed Dirty Dirk and jkidd holding a trophy and maybe Terry although that could have just been the one he got tatted on his arm.

Normally I wouldn't think this is a smart move but the way Lebron's hands are squeezing tighter & tighter around his own throat, adding extra fuel to the fire might not be a bad idea. As we can see, he hasn't been the best pressure guy lately.

Stevenson is right on, LeBron is overrated. Stevenson is not the joke, LeBron is the joke.

He might be a putz, but he is still right on with his comments about James.

I guy averaging 22 min and 7.7 points a game...AND who just lost is starting job should know his role and stfu.

How many "now you see me, now you don't" hand gestures does he average? Haha.

Look, James has been laying eggs in this series, but I wouldn't necessarily call him overrated and Stevenson definitely shouldn't be saying anything. "Overrated" is the perfect way to describe his career

Yeah dropping a triple double in a finals game is really a joke.

And for those saying he scored 2 points in the 4th? What about his 4 assists in the quarter? By my count, that's accounting for 10 points.
