NBA Finals: LeBron and the Heat vs. Dirk and the Mavericks
-
wes_mantoothI am amazed that quite a few media people think lebron should be traded. It was their first year and they were in the finals....

Outside of fast breaking and not letting it set up, but that isn't really beating the zone, it's avoiding it.
no it's not -
robj55karen lotz;802352 wrote:Yeah I agree and its definitely better to pass the ball inside and then out or to the opposite side quickly. The original post I responded to said LeBron's greatest assest was attacking the rim, which is not possible against the zone that Dallas was playing. Dallas was playing the zone to prevent James and Wade getting all the way to the rim.

That was great.... I am not an NBA fan in anyway, shape, or form, but I do hope the Cavs win a championship before LeDoosh and this does provide hope. -
Thinthickbigredsomebody said Lebon could have stayed in Cleveland Ohio and just bought a championship ring from Pryor

Classic."Really this is just us getting back to the real world and waking up today and trying to solve our own personal problems," vice president of ticket sales Eric Obalil said.

YES IT IS.
My argument is stronger than yours because I typed it in all caps. -

More evidence it's not just Cleveland that hates LeBron. I forgot which poster it was trying to say that earlier in this thread. -

That really was the WORST argument ever...yeah, because minor league baseball teams (completely different sport) run these type of promotions for every other player in the NBA that hasn't won a ring...

Saw this on my google finance ticker.
1:25 (Dow Jones) This week's ad from discount retailer 99 Cents Only (NDN) takes a shot at Miami Heat star LeBron James. The offer, valid at Texas stores through Tuesday, calls for a discount to 75c "when you don't have a fourth quarter." James, who has faced intense criticism since leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers a year ago, failed to lead the Heat to an NBA title against the Dallas Mavericks and was derided by the media and fans for his lackluster 4Q performances. California-based NDN not immediately available for comment. ([email protected])

Probably Bibby haha. His way of saying "fuck you spoelstra for benching me game 6" -
hoops23In the NBA, the shot clock is only 24 seconds... By the time a team gets the ball over halfcourt and begins to initiate, they're probably looking at 18-20 seconds remaining...
Attacking a zone in the NBA has to be much more aggressive than in college because you don't have the time to "swing the ball around and look for open shots"... Besides, Miami is a jumpshooting team.
No zone would be able to keep LBJ or Wade from driving and either pulling up or dishing. Also, LBJ's lack of a postgame didn't help either.
It's much easier to say that LeBron was taken out of the game by a zone defense, because it's an excuse by his supporters. Fact is, he took himself out of the game just like he usually did when the stage got big.
