Official Battle of Ohio thread (Series 1 @ Cle)...

Discuss the Reds @ Indians series here.
  • Rotinaj
Indians sweep and win by 10+ in every game. Gomes hits 6 homeruns.
  • riders1
    Wood vs White
    Bailey vs Tomlin
    Volquez vs Carrasco

2 good pitching matchups Friday and Saturday, Sundays game is 2 struggling starters that I can't even guess what will happen then. 2 out of 3 for the Reds.

Indians used up their runs for the week last night. :)

A Reds sweep would be great. I've got a steak dinner riding on which team finishes the season with a better record.

Wow, really going out on a limb there...

    Pretty thick limb :)

Unless of course the bet was made after the Indians got off to the great start. If it was prior to Opening Day, smh.

I think the Tribe can take 2 out of 3 here. Looking forward to getting on over to Cleveland for my first Tribe game this year, as i'll be in Ohio for business during this series.

It was made after the Reds were flailing and the Indians were stacking up wins.

Just checked and the best was made April 21st.

Ok, that's just smart wagering on your part. Enjoy your steak dinner.

I like the first 2 games for the tribe. Tomlin has been one if the best pitchers in the majors this year. And white has been solid his 1st 2 major league starts. Carrasco may actually be out of the rotation when talbot comes back. He definitely has to prove his spot in these next couple starts

    BRF checking in.

    The Boss started this thread.

    He's the "best"! Ha ha!

    Go Tribe!

Even when the Indians were the clearly better team, the Reds still gave them fits. Brandon Phillips still has a chip on his shoulder when he plays in this series, and he normally kills the Tribe. Luckily there is no Adam Dunn to hit walk off homers for the reds. I swear he had about 3 vs the Tribe while he was with the Reds.

    Volquez gets roughed up Sunday

They had to have been solo homers!!

(you probably didn't get that reference...)

Carrasco is the #5 starter not the #1 guy. He may not even be in the rotation come Sunday.

    LOL, thank you..

I think the Tribe takes 2 out of 3. This is always an evenly played series though. Literally.

Except that the Reds have dominated recently. :)

    2010: Reds 4-2
    2009: Reds 4-2
    2008: Reds 5-1

    2007 was a split.

All years Cleveland was way down. Well, 2008 I believe we were .500...

But 2007 was a split and the Tribe won 96 games. How many did the Reds win?

That's my point when I say it doesn't really matter who wins the series.. Sure, it's fun to banter about, but in the end, I don't really care much for it. I don't care much for interleague play period.

Well, before 2008 the Tribe was 29-22 vs the Reds..

They caught up the last few years, but yeah... I digress.
