Ugly game by both teams tonight. Gift runs on both sides. Neither team played well. If this game were in Cinci we would have lost. There is magic happening at the Prog this year.

Cleveland keeps losing players, but winning games. Hope it continues (the winning, not the losing players part :) )

Umpires miss another squeeze bunt out? Was he out of the baselines to avoid the tag by Votto?

It was probably close. Never should have come down to that, though.

They missed it earlier in the year when Cabrerra stepped out of the box and across the plate to squeeze a run home!

What is the function of that line to the right of the foul line starting half way to first base?

I thought it was the basepath the runner is to stay in on plays at 1st base. I've seen runners out for being inside on close plays but on a play like tonights where he went to the outside of the line to avoid Vott's tag, I thought he could have been called out. Any umpires have an interpretation?

Go Reds :) Say didn't I see you in a Reds hat this basketball season?

The runner has 3 feet to use in avoiding a tag. If he were more than 3 feet outside the base path he could have been ruled out. He clearly wasnt beyond the 3 feet though.
