Game 42 - Chicago Cubs (Matt Garza) at Cincinnati Reds (Edinson Volquez)

Midstate01Comeon Bruce. Though this curve might make him look silly.
-
charliehustle14Two guys I'd love to see learn how to really bunt would be Stubbs and Bruce. Stubbs because he's got elite speed obviously and Bruce because he could beat a shift easily with it.

He hit a hard grounder right to the 2nd baseman earlier tonight, but they are very few. I think his ankle is handicapping him. Renteria is not doing that well at #2 either. Dusty needs to get BP back to #2. Maybe he's planning to get Rolen back to #4 Friday after he has his day off Thursday. -
Midstate01Idk I won't be surprised if he keeps going with rolen at 6.
-
se-alumI wouldn't mind seeing Hanigan in the two spot. Dusty could do alot of things w/ Stubbs on base and Hanigan hitting behind him.

I would too, but I think they gave up on Stubbs. And Bruce really doesn't need to bunt to take advantage of the shift, just plink it down the line without popping it up. -

I did not see when you posted that. And I've been drinking. And I'm retarded.
My bad. -
Ironman92I really wasn't trying to be funny....our MVP is always there for us....his teammates need to pick him up.
Janish is well down the list for our should be #2 hitters. Renteria is a little better and has had two big walks the past two games...but Philips should be the #2. -

lol I thought you meant because of how bad he looked on that one pitch, all but on the ground. -
charliehustle14That stupid little gangster kid
-
wildcats20Cool.
-
sherm03Fuck this Campana kid!
-
se-alumSorry, but that Campana dude looks like a ratard.
-
mhs95_06We get used to seeing great plays routinely, but a lot of that is a function of the condition of the playing fields they compete on, usually pretty much in pristine condition. But then tonight with poor conditions the play is closer to what we would do!
-
Midstate01Listen if you're gonna make a MLB debut. Make it in cincinnati. You WILL do something good.
-
Ironman92I know it was rocked.... But just like the rocket that the Cards 2nd baseman played didn't get and then got hammered by the Reds announcers( Welsh and Thom )....Phillips just did the exact same thing.
-
Ironman92Midstate01..... Best post of the thread.
-
Ironman92Glad we used our best pitchers in a tie game.
-
mhs95_06
And I don't believe the 97% number that was thrown out that BP would make that play 97% of the time! Maybe about 77%!Ironman92;772177 wrote:I know it was rocked....
