While in Seattle Arod hit in front of Griffey more than about anyone.....hit 41/132/.312 the year after JR left.....as for the 615 HR, 1600 RBI and 1600 runs and 2550 hits.....I don't know.

Right, I was just trying to think of stars on that Seattle team who may have had a down year. Olerud, Segui, Bell, Buhner. Thats about all I got. A-Rod never had a bad year.

George said whoever hitting in front of Jr would score 150 runs.

.....and who did that? I thought Welsh said Jr would knock in 150

What 6 teams did Ron Roenicke play for?

I'll have to go back to my baseball sorting days......I can only think of 5

Reds, Dodgers, Padres, Phillies and giants

    No one DID it.

They were talking just in general.
  • Ironman92
    Well OK then.

    I don't like overexaggerations...sorry.
  • Ironman92
Didn't know Roenicke played for the Mariners.

Can we play the brewers the rest of the year? Someone said they'd be good so far vs the Reds not so much.

Didnt seem like that was how Grande meant it...but it could be.

    WHAT?!?

Since when do you get 2 bases on an over throw?!?!?
  • charliehustle14
For some reason I always thought you got 2 bases on a throw from the outfield that went out of play. Regardless, terrible play and decision by Janish.
  • wildcats20
I really don't get that ruling. I think they fucked up.
  • charliehustle14
If the runner on 2nd had been taking off for 3rd, I could see that ruling made. But the guy was retreating back to 2nd, so I don't see how he winds up scoring.
  • wildcats20
I thought it was always if he had gone half way, he gets that base plus the next. Dude was ON 2nd base when the throw was made.
  • charliehustle14
Well glad the Reds got out of that inning with only allowing the 1 run. That inning could have been disastrous with Weeks, Gomez, and Braun up with 0 outs.
  • wildcats20
Yeah absolutely, nice job by Bronson.

Still confused by that, oh well.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the crew screwed up. It just doesn't seem right. It'd be interesting if that call was made during a crucial point in a tight game.

Wow, gotta love Major League outfielders who make unnecessary dives for shallow balls and then follow the plunge up with an additional unnecessary cartwheel. Pretty sure he could have made a show string catch there, but whatever lol

    lol

And it will be in the top 3 on Top 10 tonight.

Pretty sure and overthrow is 2 bases from the start of a play. You get the base you are going towards (yes even if you are GOING BACK), plus 1 more.

So on a bunt, and error, the hitter gets to go to 2nd (2 bases from where he was to start the play, home plate.).

Another incident, more relevant to this would be...1st and 3rd. Line drive to second baseman. They try to double off the player at 3rd, and the guy on first is back to first base. But throw is into stands. Runner on 3rd scores, and runner on first gets to go to 3rd base (2 bases from where he started at start of play).

The Brewers need to hit the weight room lol How many flyouts to the warning track is that? 4 or 5?
  • charliehustle14
Bronson does another great job of working out of potential trouble to spoil another promising Brewers inning. I know it doesn't seem like a big deal right now but the way he's been working through the trouble can be the difference between a 7-1 game and a 7-5 game heading into the ninth.

I didn't understand all the theatrics....but the CF made one hell of a catch.

Did FSN go to commercial too quick? It looked like there was about to be an argument about that called 3rd strike by the 1st base ump

He definitely did not do the out sign...he twirled his pointer finger around in the air, wtf does that mean lol

    Maybe that he went around?
