Ive done it in golf plenty (like 4 times). Not exactly the same, but similar. Though its USUALLY on a pitch, where the ball wont explode off the club. But I did do it once with a full swing 8 iron from 180.

I just cant believe he was able to get a hit off it.

McCann just broke up the no no.

Clifton Phifer Lee has a no-no through 5, against the Majors top offense, the Red Sox.

Bay and Beltran both hit Grand Slams in the Mets-Tigers game. Bay in the 4th, Beltran in the 5th. Mets now lead 13-0.
  • karen lotz
First grand slams in 299 games played I think.

Thru 5 innings, Jose Reyes is 4-4 and just a triple short of the cycle.

    MVP

He got the triple early. Needs the HR...but he just walked.
  • karen lotz
Yeah I just saw he had a triple. Read the tweet wrong I suppose.

and he was taken out after the walk, which I dont agree with. Not when a player is going for something like that.

Me too. Marson and Donald alone are worth it, let alone Carrasco.

for real though, Carrasco has been great for the Tribe recently, the sting of that trade has subsided over the last month lol.

Think how Montreal/Wash. must feel. Lee, Phillips, Lee Stevens, and Sizemore for Colon and Tim Drew.

    Montreal trades:
Colon for Biddle , Liefer, and O.Hernandez. Kept Colon just the 1 season and 3 years later he wins the Cy Young.

    Cleveland trades :
Lee for Knapp, Carrasco, Donald, and Marson
    Phillips for Jeff Stephens
    ..........Stephens for Derosa
    ..........DeRosa for C.Perez
    Lee Stephens nothing
    Sizemore still in Cle.
So it could boil down to Colon for Carrasco, Marson, Sizemore, and C.Perez.

I'm actually happy for the Pirates. I hope they are in the NL Central race all season.

Just saw something I have never seen before. In the Tigers-Mets game, Jason Bay was on 1st for the Mets and Daniel Murphy was up to bat. On a 3-1 pitch, Jason Bay takes off for 2nd, but the ball is foul tipped into the glove of Alex Avila. Foul ball, strike 2, but Bay still gets credit for the stolen base. Never knew that.
  • karen lotz
Yeah if the balled is tipped and caught its as if it wasn't touched at all.

So the catcher should just be smart and drop the thing. Quick thinking, but would save a base.
