Holy shit. James Harrison goes in on Goodell (again), the Patriots and Roethlisberger. No holds barred.

He needs to shut his mouth.

1 tackle Harrison... ONE FUCKING TACKLE
  • Automatik
I wouldn't get close to him if I was Goodell. I'm serious....the Silverback is not right.

    Mens Journal right?

Man, what an idiot. Or psycho. Either way, he is in some hot water right now.

With who? Goodell? Does speaking his mind warrant action? Honest question.....I don't see myself ever calling my boss a "***" or "devil" lol

James Harrison might be wrong for saying some of this stuff.....but I sure as fuck ain't gonna be the one to tell him that.

    Goes into more detail.

I agree about the dividing the locker room. He could have kept his trap shut regarding Ben and Mendenhall, and I don't disagree with what he said.

going after mendenhall and roethlisberger is where he is wrong. i don't think either of those two were on the field while rodgers was hanging 4 bills on the defense

I definitely agree with that. Harrison probably should be reminded that he's not getting younger and Pittsburgh's defensive scheme is good enough that most players (ie: about everyone not named Polamalu) can be easily replaced with little drop in production. There's been a lot of linebackers who've become name players or stars in their system...and a decent number who've quickly faded into obscurity when they've gone somewhere else. I love Harrison on the field, but it's hard to respect someone who decides to throw his teammates under the bus months after a Super Bowl loss and mere weeks before (assuming lockout ends soon) it's time to gear up for another season.

Yeah, in one sense.....I like one of our defensive players having a rep as a crazy fuck. Probably some guys around the league get mudbutt when thinking about playing against him. But, it's not fair to call out Ben as he's bailed the D out several times over the last 6 years as well. The final minutes of Super Bowl 43 come to mind.

And of course Ben's not Manning or Brady.....but he doesn't have to be. He does great being himself on the field most of the time. He fits the Steelers offense and that's all that matters. Mendenhall did have an untimely and costly fumble in the Super Bowl but he had a good season overall. Also, while Goodell may be an asshole.....not sure it's smart to say that about your commissioner....even if it's warranted.

So....bottom line....just shut up and do your job, slave!

Adam Schefter tweeted that Harrison told Merrill Hoge that many of his comments were twisted by the writer and that he did not criticize Ben. Schefter also reported that Hoge spoke to Ben after Harrison called Roethlisberger and that Ben is "taking Harrison at his word and their relationship is fine."

Yes with the NFL. I would be surprised if he wasnt fined. Then with people in general. He has been ripped by a lot of people Ive listened to today. With Big Ben and Mendenhall. They can say their relationship is "fine", but I doubt it. Then lastly with the Steelers organization. This guy has been in trouble in the media and with the league too many times. They gotta do something about him and the media.

It's a two horse race. Cleveland will be third and Cincinnati at the bottom of the barrel. Could you imagine if you played for the Bengals? It would be really hard to get excited for the season.

So far, these are the UDFA's signed by the Steelers.....

DT Anthony Gray - Southern Mississippi

TE Weslye Saunders - South Carolina

    DL Miguel Chavis - Clemson

    WR Terrence McCrae - Ohio

C Colin Miller - Central Michigan

    WR Adam Mims - Furman

    RB John Clay - Wisconsin

Clay could fit in nicely with his running style and frame. I like Saunders too.

    Nice pickups.

I agree about Clay. He's faster for a big guy than his timed speed.

If Saunders didn't have the off-the-field issues he would've been a very high draft pick. Large frame and good hands.

They really liked Mario Harvey when they watched his workout.

    Short, explosive linebacker.

Clay, Saunders and Harvey I'd say are the key names from that group.
  • killer_ewok
    To add to that....

DE Ty Boyle - North Dakota

OT Joshua Harrison - South Carolina State

    LS Derek Chard - Connecticut

The Steelers signed Ike Taylor to a 4-year deal. Priority #1 has been taken care of. That's big for this team. Could not afford to lose Ike.
