Super Bowl XLV: Pittsburgh Steelers vs Green Bay Packers

And the Steelers have plugged guys like Legursky in all season long due to numerous injuries along the o-line. They just find a way and continue to get it done. Ben's mobility obviously helps out a lot as it masks some of the offensive line's shortcomings. At least Ben and Legursky have these 2 weeks to work together to get that exchange down.
To borrow a "Tomlinism"...............we expect him to be "Heath like", I expect Legurskey to "Maurkice like". ;)

You take that part of the game for granted. It goes off over and over without a hitch but if you have a couple of botched snaps it can kill you.
There were two botched snaps in the AFC Champ...the one for the safety was def the centers fault.

The other one....well...inconclusive in the replays I watched. As a former QB....it really sucks if you have to worry or be concered with the snap itelf. THere are many things running through your head and that should be automatic

Go worry about who the Browns are going to draft, you have zero credibility when it comes to the Super Bowl as Cleveland fans aren't familiar with it!

BTW, nice gay reference yet again, you keep showing your true colors. It's OK to come out of the closet.

so I can't post on this thread because I'm a browns fan? rock you are funny

    Never said that.

The reality is you're a Cleveland fan........what could you possibily bring of substance to a discussion about the Super Bowl?

Typical troll garbage from you, you know I'm right so you have to attack a typo and label it as dumb, weak! BTW, have I told you lately how nice you're avatar is? Enjoy the draft pal!

Steelers are one of several teams trying to sign a WR from Saskatchewan.

Andy Fantuz. He's a slot receiver but he's 6'4 220 lbs. He had 87 receptions and 1,380 yards last year.

Many a browns fans are wishign me ill will for the steelers. They expect me to get mad...upset..throw a fit...or whatnot. When they say they hope GB wins, or that GB will win I just respond "yeah, they probably will" and the do not know what to say!

Do i want the steelers to win?

Oh fuck yeah I do. FUCK yeah I do. But i am a realist.....this is the 4th SB that I can actually remember and they won 2 of the first 3. I am adult enough to know it is a privilege they make it this often. Buddy of mine who just started watching the games with us a few years ago always brings this up.....After they beat Seattle I told him and his brother, who are both youhg...enjoy this as it is likely we could live 50 yearns and they not even make it back to the SB..let alone win it.

and they have won one and have a decent shot to win another so I feel just happy that this steelers franchise has brought so much joy into my life. Most times they have competitive years.

I guess being in Browns and Bengals country I appreciate the success more because of their fans always in misery.

I am just happy they made it to the SB. Sure as hell hope they win.......but if they dont I guess I am just till be OK with how great it has been being a steelers fan

It all comes down to the game itself.

I know the Steelers have a good enough team to beat the Packers some days, but you don't know how the game will unfold in a one-game situation.

They just have to play a strong game and execute close to their best.

those tickets are a lot higher than they were last time

I paid $1000, my cousin and I got tickets off somebody that worked for the Browns actually

but I remember looking online and I thought there were tickets for about $1,200 to $1,500

this year the lowest is still $2,300

People tend to overpay the first few days.

think my buddy paid around 1500 or so for the one in detroit..but he wont exactly tell me!

As do I. Regardless of the outcome of next weekend's game, I'll be having a great time cheering on my team...while others will be simply hoping "random third party #3" can do the job their team was unable to accomplish. Pittsburgh wins, Pittsburgh loses...the 2010-11 NFL season was still better for me than for most.

    I sort of agree.

It's definitely better to have a team playing in the game. I'm looking forward to getting together with friends and family for a big Steelers Super Bowl party.

However, you hate to see them go all this way and not finish. They're going after a seventh Super Bowl and that only happens if it happens, getting close to it just isn't the same.

Matthews against either of the Steelers tackles is a mismatch.

However, I'd also say Woodley vs. Bulaga is big trouble for the Packers.

Woodley has 10 sacks in six postseason games and I think he'll eat up the rookie Bulaga for at least two or three sacks.

This shit is why their shouldn't be a bye week. Non story if the game was tomorrow

Rogers is still young, guess he doesn't know any better. Players on IR on most if not all teams don't stick around and rehab at the team facility. Hell, remember VY was barred in Nashville per team policy.

I think it's funny that the Packers tried to move on and not make that story a big deal but then they go back and forth about it again.

Adam Schefter reported on NFL Countdown that Pouncey will not play.

Not sure his source, but if it was from the Steelers they may just want to end the speculation before getting to Texas.

Pouncey's parents were there. I remember when they were (I think) sophs their dad was in an accident at work and lost a leg. He was up and around in no time, tough stock is what I'm saying.
Here is a post from a Gator board, she was in the front row behind the Steeler bench. If you saw a Gator flag on the railing by Ed Hochuli's replay peepshow booth, that was hers.

When Pouncey got hurt, everyone was silent and upset. Then the crowd started chanting "Pouncey, Pouncey" he still didn't get up. Then when he stood up, they were chanting again "Pouncey, Pouncey" it was awesome. He was carted away and a bit later, I saw a guy sitting on the bench looking at xrays of an ankle. In the 2nd half, he came out on crutches with a boot on his left leg.
At the last drive, when the steelers were trying to run out the clock the lineman all gathered together then they were looking around for Pouncey. He came limping over and HE was the guy in the lineman's huddle firing up the O-line. It was awesome to see.

this was from this morning, it'll be a gameday decision but he will take an injection and suit up. No way he sits out the Super Bowl.

    Really?
  • Speedofsand
wishful thinking, Maurkice had said he'd play but go ahead and quote me from before the xray showed a break. smh

speaking of photogate and injury rehab, do any Steeler fans have an update on Max Starks ?
