Week 13: Cleveland Browns (4-7) at Miami Dolphins (6-5)

Delhomme needs to go, NOW! While his stats may not have been all that bad, he's just not mobile enough, and with how some of our O-line has been playing lately, you need to be mobile. He does everything he can to not get hit, and sometimes that means making piss poor throws. For example, the duck he threw to Watson off his back foot that the Dolphins DB luckily dropped, or we lose that game. Wallace or McCoy from now on please. No more Delhomme.

I missed Haden all year, he could have locked down the field with Janoris Jenkins. Glad to see all the success from his hard work.

Not going to lie...I was pissed when they selected him that early...thought it was a huge reach. Anyhow, I guess that is why I don't work in the NFL.

WTG Browns! Great job by the defense!

Happy for Phil to make that last one after his hook job previously!

Haden showed today why he was a top 10 pick. He will be a Pro Bowl CB very soon.

Colt was throwing in pregame warmups today. Hopefully he'll be back next week. It's safe to say the coaching staff prefers Jake over Wallace. And I don't know why.

Way to go Browns, Def came up HUGE! FAILhomme sucked outside of one drive, if the defense had any hands, that INT in the 4th would have sealed the game. Bailed out by sick play of the defense. Daboll/FAILhomme are just bad.

Haden played amazing today, granted it wasn't against Marshall, but WOW! He was in on every play.

I think McCoy is out at min another week, hope I am wrong.

great post on Twitter from NFL Network's Rich Eisen. "Nice to see something from Cleveland, take their talents to South Beach and come back with some good. "

    Was wondering the same thing.

Moore has a hip injury. Vickers was also limited today, which may explain why some of the running didn't work (along with Miami packing the box and focusing on him).

Mangini did his best Jim Tressel imitation today, and it worked. He played cautious, sound football and let the other team make the mistakes -- and then capitalized on them for the win.

You forgot about getting lucky with FAILhomme's ints that the phins couldn't hold on to.

What I want to know is how this game didn't get blacked out. What a pathetic showing by another Florida based franchise, who were also above 500. Let me guess what the excuse was, the fans have "better" things to do.

Dolphins fans (at least in FL) are awful. When the Jets play in Miami it is essentially another home game for them.

i was thinking the same thing, pathetic to say the least. FAILhomme is luck that the rookie cornor from miami couldn't hold on to that int or that woulda been six no doubt.

That excuse (there's always something else they can do...beach, outside, etc.) is why I NEVER want to see another NFL franchise in Los Angeles.

Those people don't give a crap about the NFL and football. They're happy surfing and scamming medical marijuana cards.

I know that won't stop the NFL from moving another franchise there, but there's no way Los Angeles deserves yet another team.

    this.

miami has a piss poor local following.

i know of at least one fan who was belligerently screaming at the team.

FWIW i think Henning needs to get shit-canned in the worst kind of way. waste 2 timeouts to get the ball back and your first play out of the gate is a fucking sweep??? then on 2nd and 10 you have a shitty dump off that henne has never been good at throwing, which leads to a 3rd and 10 "henne make it happen" kind of moment that leaves us fuckholed and losing.

    You mean Henne?^^

BTW, Joe Haden just tweeted this:

    Good catch justin.

love the effort from the boys. if only we didn't piss away about 4 games earlier in the season or we might be in the playoff hunt. oh well, definitely headed in the right direction

also miami one week and buffalo the next...should be about the same temperature lol

I said it last week in the Carolina Thread...

A win is a win is a win is a win is A WIN!

Ill take them any way that they come. Honestly, it makes me feel good to have them, we haven't gotten MANY of them lately!

Im still that one soul who is thinking a .500 record shows the players on this team hey, we WANT to stick around another year, we have BUILT something here. Winning breeds WINNING, and if we can find a WAY to win the next 2 games....and then steal one of the 2 from the Rat Birds and that team East of here....

or both dare I say....another ManJenie (inna bottle) 4-0 finish? Who knows.
  • areyoukiddingme
I, too, think the Browns can finish .500 but they must beat Pitt or Balt.
  • Writerbuckeye
Even 7-9 is a huge step forward for this franchise -- and I think sends the message you are a team on the verge of competing for division titles and playoff berths.

I hope the idiot owners and the idiot union can work out an agreement before any lockout takes place. I'd like to see continuity so the Browns can continue off season what they've got going on the field.
  • Commander of Awesome
Texans are 8-8 every year, and I hear that they're on the cusp every season, yet never do. I dont think 7-9 is a statement at all, winning is a statement.

    This.

I am worried the Browns will become another Texans. The Texans really are stuck in limbo. The good news for the Browns is, if they finish 8-8 or 7-9 they can take solace to the fact they had the toughest schedule in the NFL. So, they can definitely compete with the best teams in the NFL, they just need to get over the hump and win 2-3 more games on their schedule.
