Week 13: Pittsburgh Steelers (8-3) at Baltimore Ravens (8-3)
-
bigdaddy2003Luckily I am going to see some family in Indiana this weekend so between hitting the gym all week and then spending time with family I will be occupied until the game.
-
rock_knutneWe will know more about Big Ben in about 15 minutes when Tomlin has his weekely presser.
-
NonMike Tomlin press conference coming up at noon
on Fox Sports Pittsburgh

bigdaddy2003So what did Tomlin have to say?
-
Art ModellHe said Ben will be restricted in practice but fully expects him to play. An interesting tidbit: Ben has never lost to the Ravens.

Ha good time to end that streak! -
Art ModellI read that some of the Ravens are banged up.
-
bigdaddy2003Michael Oher and LeRon McClain are both banged up. Those are the only 2 I know of for sure.
-
NonHopefully Oher is out.
Good tackle but he also gets away with a lot more than other players because of his past. -
GoPensWell, Harrison got fined $25,000 for his hit last week. Ridiculous. Same fine as those 2 idiots that fought in the Tennessee-Houston game and what Seymour got for punching Ben.

bigdaddy2003Oher is pretty good but I understand what you are saying. I just don't really pay much attention to what linemen are doing so I never noticed him getting away with a lot of stuff.

I don't see what you're getting at.....gets away with dirty play? -

Not so much dirty play but holding and false starts. There were a few in the last meeting that were pretty obvious. -
bigdaddy2003I'd assume that is what he is getting at.
-
NonTomlin didn't want to bite on any of the questions about the officiating but it's been ridiculous the past couple games. The Steelers were fortunate to win both. The same holding calls that seem to be bringing back a lot of positive plays are not getting called on the opposite side. You wonder if Tomlin should bring it up. Sometimes that helps get a few. At least in the NBA it does with Phil Jackson.
-
bigdaddy2003Hm maybe he did that particular game but I can't say I assume he gets away with it all of the time just because of his past. Point well taken though.
-
NonI was thinking the Steelers might consider picking up Deshea Townsend, who was released by the Colts a few weeks ago
but it sounds like McFadden is ok -
DeyDurkie5Ravens big, steelers were better before ben's return
-
Commander of AwesomeWith the steelers QB foot injury I would imagine they have to run the ball more. Which bodes well for them becuase the Ravens run def isn't what it used to be. I think the ravens passing game takes over though. Ravens 27-17 over steelers.

LOL. Such a ridiculous claim to make. -

Ben has a track record of being ''hurt'' before every Ravens game. He'll be just fine.Commander of Awesome;583478 wrote:With the steelers QB foot injury I would imagine they have to run the ball more. Art ModellAnyone catch Hines Ward's interview today? He totally ripped the NFL and it's policies. The interview had to be halted because his teamates were yelling at him to watch what he's saying. Looks like another fine coming to a Steeler.
-
bigdaddy2003I just can't fathom this being a blow out for either team. It will be a battle that goes down to the wire.

If you're responding to Durkies post, dont bother because he's a little uptight that he is about to lose a couple bets on here that he foolishly made before the season started. I look for a 13-10 style battle.
