hoops23Went to the Q and took in the game. Had some great seats and the atmosphere is still top notch. Felt like a playoff game ad usual.
JJ Hickson is a beast, point blank. He's taking it to the next step in terms of his growth. I love that he was giving it to Amar'e offensively and defensively.
I hope to god the Cavs can get Kyrie Irving and a guy like Derek Williams in the draft. -

I think it will take a bit of time for him so adapt. PGs in D'Antonis system are taught to push the pace no matter what, never give up the dribble, and look to drive to set up the offense. -
Hb31187Didnt look like either played defense while I watched the game. One had 24 and 15 n 5 and one had 31 and 11 n 5. While both shot over 50 % lol

Midstate01My buddy who is a knicks fan went to the game last night. He said he couldn't believe how good the crowd was.

Think it surprised a few people
@CavsFredMcLeod
Walt Frazier gave you fans major props on the air in NY for sticking with this team-he said it was as loud as the Garden! -
jpake1Hickson is taking baby steps, which is fine. He's putting up big numbers on a poor team with a key player in his rotation out. His next step is to keep it up next year when Wild Thing is back, and possibly perhaps more competition at PF. With some hard work and good luck, he's on his way to becoming a Zach Randolph type IMO. Big numbers, but not really respected. I still don't see superstar, nor an elite allstar. But, if he continues to improve I think he can make some allstar games in the next several years when the current great PF's int he game get a bit older. He's on my fanasy team, so keep it up young fella... even through I'm trying to trade you for Zach Randolph lol.

devil1197JJ is progressing well and is still very young.
Cleveland was close to landing a 3rd 1st round pick but Rip Hamilton declined the trade. -

This makes zero sense to me. Cavs offered him a very solid buyout. He had 3 options......
1. Get bought out and sign with a team of his choosing (there would have been plenty of teams after him)
2. Go to the Cavs and get playing time
3. Stay in Detroit and sit on the bench with a coach that you dont get along with -

Rip declined everything, which I don't know why since he is boycotting right now. -

Dumb move....
I hate this boycott shit that the Pistons did last night. They are professional athletes and they need to act like it. Get out there and play the damn game. -
jordo212000Pistons are now a joke. I wouldn't touch any of those guys anymore. I have lost a ton of respect for Rip and Tayshaun Prince. Didn't lose any respect for Tmac though. I knew he was a piece of garbage before last night

Rip and Prince don't really know what hard times are and now they are pissed. This isn't the era when the Pistons were very good, they cannot take being a bottom feeder.
They are just losers in generally, just because times get tough doesn't mean you quit. Do the job you are paid to do.
I'd trade for Rip, then buy him out and send him on his way. -
jordo212000I thought Rip and Prince were good guys too. You really see somebody's true character when times get tough

Rip won in college and won in the NBA.
Now his team sucks and he is acting like a bitch.
If he was smart about it, he had the chance to be on a contender during the playoffs,
The artcile said Cleveland was going to buy him out and the Celtics were interested in picking him up. -

Amar'e got a bulk of his while Antawn was guarding him with JJ is foul trouble.
JJ had a few blocks on Amar'e, including a monster onto prevent a dunk.. Of course, those don't make SportsCenter though.. -

haha. You would have thought that the Knicks won the game by 20 by watching the SC highlights. I think the only "highlight" they showed of the Cavs was Boobies three. I dont really care, just thought it was pretty funny. -

osu45804Right now the Celtics/Thunder trade still seems like a bad one... but the more you look into it and the other trade Danny Ainge made on Thursday he may have did the right thing. First I read there were possible rumblings that Semih Erden was getting homesick and was thinking about going back to Turkey next year and Harangody may turn out to be something in the NBA and I hope he does. And now Nate Robinson was asked to not be...well himself or the Knicks Nate Robinson and he did it the best he could but we're definitely not going to miss the transition pull-up 3's with 20 seconds still on the shot clock lol ...... Now Perkins, I guess he'll probably be out 2-3 more weeks w/ the sprained MCL and Shaq could be back middle to late next week and Jermaine O'Neal says he'll be ready before the season is over, SO IF both O'Neal's are healthier than Perk in the playoffs and we get Krstic that can play Center along w/ the backup 3 in Green that we needed then I think Danny will look very smart.....

Trueblue23GO LA!

Trueblue23Awesome win for the Lakers today.
2nd half defense was impressive. -
Skyhook79Kobe put the lock down on Westbrook in the 2nd half, he also guarded Durant the first 6 mins of the 4th and held him to 2 pts. 15 years in the NBA and Kobe can still play defense with the best of them.
OKC is going to be a tough out in the Playoffs.
Kobe didn't play well offensively but he hit the biggest shot of the game even getting hit on the forearm (no call of course). -
Ironman92I'll give Kobe and Artest credit....but geesh the OKC coach called two timeouts in the last seconds of the game and both led to turnovers......don't let them get set up.
I love watching Durant and Westbrook play. -
Ironman92Grant Hill found the fountain of youth again today as he went for 34 pts and 9 rb in the Suns win.

Ron won this game for LA. His defense on Durant was VERY good. So many times Durant couldn't even touch the ball.
Announcers made a very valid statement towards the end of the game.. LA, with DFish, Kobe and Artest, has the most physical perimeter defense in the NBA.
